Baldur's Gate 3
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a story-rich, party-based RPG set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons,...
Once upon a time, the Empire had a unique project — the "Steelpolis" train, which served as a demonstration of technological prowess, economic superiority, and power. The train completed a full circuit around the Empire, visiting the largest conquered provinces, where it enforced iron order and collected annual tribute. For the local inhabitants, its arrival was always the main event of the year: a herald of news, a festival of trade and entertainment… or a symbol of enslavement and plunder.
However, the Empire is now facing hard times. Its treasury is empty, its infrastructure is on the verge of collapse, and its vast, wealthy territories are living their own lives. The current Emperor is attempting to salvage the situation by reviving this long-abandoned project.
You are the newly appointed mayor of the train, and your task is to rebuild the city on rails.
You cant control the behavior of the residents and crew. Unlike other similar games, in Steel Artery, the AI of the inhabitants is not based on blindly fulfilling the player's tasks... but on their own interests, tied to earning money to satisfy their needs. Just like in real life. So don’t be surprised if they refuse to go to work that’s far from their homes or quit after earning enough money.
Buildings in the game vary drastically in size, so designing your ideal city will be no easy task, especially considering the heightened demands of the inhabitants for logistics and the limited space.
You decide what kind of city to build. It could be a fast, compact, and technologically advanced train with a small population (exclusively humans)... or it could be a massive, slow-moving leviathan filled with thousands of creatures of different races. As they say, the bigger the city, the more opportunities for fun (and for all sorts of problems).
