User Reviews
I finished everything that could be done, got all the achievements, and in the end, I feel like someone who has finished tedious work, household chores and lost pleasure halfway. Masochist. Yes. But when you like to finish a job, you're always masochistic in a way... The logistical issue makes no sense, especially for a logistician like me. Transport costs (distance, travel difficulties, supply/demand, availability of means of transport, etc.) are not really taken into account. It is a flat economy, with a heavy signalling and routing system. Management is too timed. You don't think and manage carefully, you rush through gestural mechanisms and habits. Cities do not develop in proportion to the economic context, the network and its use. Managing a large network and many trains is a pain in the neck... It has a terribly clunky user interface. I couldn't even pass the first tutorial with ease and pleasure... The worst part is that when you go to talk pages, you are told that there ar...
Good lordy the user interface on this game! Could they make any part of it more clumsy and less intuitive?
I cannot say enough good things about this game. Singularly my favorite economy strategy game I have ever played. When I think back to all the challenges and achievements and DLC, nothing comes close to this game. If you grew up playing similar games, this one will NOT disappoint. Solid competitor for no 1 or 2 slot for my favorite game ever.
This game is a nightmare to play because the tool tips cover the menus, and there is a 2nd one out now. Steam won't refund my money because I spent 6 hours trying to learn it, and apparently they only allow refunds up to two hours. Do not buy this game.
If you ever loved Railroad Tycoon from Sid Meijer, this is a briljand flow-up. Smooth lay-outs and quite good dispatching from stations (learn about track 1 before playing).
