Rail Route

There aren't words in any language to properly describe how annoying the tutorial is for this game. The whole system upgrades system feels tacked on, and the integration with the tutorial is.... I guess technically that, but no more.

This is genuinely one of the most engaging games I have bought in a long time. I really enjoy how the game progresses slowly from the player manually helping each train to its destination to some basic automation to fully automated train routes. The game really forced me to be patient and learn how each upgrade functions (with optional short tutorials for each one) before I could really expand my routes to my heart's content. If you're a fan of colony builders and factory builders but need something new to keep you engaged, I highly recommend Rail Route. It's a delight to play, and I must now end my review so I can continue playing! :)

In compare to other railroad games this one has the most pity switch management. And who got the idea the schedule management is an upgrade: why I should suffer before an obtention of basic needs?

If you have ADHD or just a naturally very curious mind that LOVES puzzles, then this game will scratch your itch. Learning to work out the UI, then the intricacies of timetables, trip times, switches and signals, it is a fun game.

I'm a big graphics guy so It didn't initially interest me. But this guy is great at logistics, you can tell the devs really put everything into this game. So far enjoying it thoroughly.

If you like automation, this is a great game for you

While this game is fairly enjoyable, it has a fair few amount of significant bugs and QoL issues. Namely: - Loading any timetable map results in the game freezing (and considering that the game doesn't start paused this can make getting 3 stars on some fast-paced maps IMPOSSIBLE) - When creating custom contracts, the platforms you set are reset when you add a station, and random duplicates of the stations you add are also added. - On many timetable maps it is impossible to get 3 stars as the nature of the maps requires you to hold some trains at signals to wait for other trains on single track sections or where two trains want to use the same platform. There should be no penalty for holding a train at a signal, only if it becomes delayed should a penalty be applied. - Autosaves are shown above manual saves in the save menu, forcing you to scroll to the bottom to overwrite your manual save slot if its been awhile. - On the bottom of the screen you ONLY see the next 3 trains, regardless ...
