I logged in expecting a casual military shooter. 3 hours later I was crawling through a bush because my squad leader told me to hold position while he went to make a sandwich. Another time, I spent 45 minutes meticulously planning a helicopter assault with 12 random strangers from the internet. The chopper immediately clipped a tree, exploded, and we all died. 10/10 would brief again. The graphics are gorgeous, the guns feel amazing, but the real feature is the chat full of guys screaming "MEDIC!" after tripping over a small rock. It’s the only game where you can: Break your legs jumping 2 feet. Spend 2 hours in silence driving a truck to the frontline, then instantly get blown up by a goat. Accidentally call in an airstrike on your own squad and still get thanked for "keeping it immersive." Ejected dozens of times, bailed out of a burning wreck more times than i can count, been revived so many times id bankrupt socialized healthcare, and still, id do it all again

After finishing the Arma 3 East wind campaign and messing around in the editor, I can definitely say that this is a great military sandbox and I would highly recommend it, now it will take some time to learn the controls but it's really not that hard. Also don't trust Miller

At this point, i reached 4K hours in this game. Still not bored with the game thanks to a wide variety of mods available. And that's really the power of this game the mods. Thanks to the mods your able to play as a soldier/police/firefighter/civilian/EMT and so on. This is a game within a game!

Almost 1,000 hours into this game. I really hope Arma 4 lives up to this one but even better. Always end up going back to it. The best of the best military sims I've ever played!

DON'T LOOK AT MY HOURS PLAYED AND READ THE REVIEW PLS I've spent countless hours in Arma 3 before "officially" buying it on steam during the recent summer sale. Arma 3 is a great military simulation, accesible for both online multiplayer and offline singleplayer fans, with a HUGE modding community, multiple game modes and unlimited possibilities in scenario creator so it's basically impossible to run out of content to enjoy, and all of that in crispy 30-50 fps :) But seriously, optimization is probably the only downside of this game. Definitely worth picking up if you don't mind some fps drops here and there.
