About This Game

Woah. I'll be completely honest, Testbed Terror is like my failed abortion. Seriously congratulations for having the balls and determination to play through this buggy mess. But hey, every developer has to make mistakes, I guess I just decided to make all of mine in one go with that game. I've made the game free, because I'm uncomfortable with people actually paying real money for this. Soundtrack is pretty dope tho

BLAST YOUR WAY through an old-school single player campaign across three distinct realms!
From the depths of places unknown, legions of abominations arise– sowing destruction in their wake!
Grin with sadistic glee as Blood, guts and entrails hurl themselves apart at your hand to the tune of (mostly) witty one liners and an original soundtrack!
Some call Testbed Terror the unexpected love child between Serious Sam and Doom, and who can blame them? With increasingly fast paced gameplay, explosive jumping, hidden items and secrets; Testbed Terror captures the charm of 90's shooters.
Now, go smash those bastidges!

Actually Informative Description:

Testbed Terror; a game created by one lad over one and a half years with no forward planning or aim in mind whatsoever. During the course of the campaign, the environment and pacing takes many distinct twists, increasing in intensity, so be prepared to run 'n' gun... THIS AIN'T NO CRAPPY MODERN SHOOTER!! *.

As a result of the... unusual development cycle, the game was made chronologically. Let's just say that'll be fairly evident during your playthrough.
Hmm. That wasn't very informative.

* I'll leave you to judge if the game's crappy or not, taste is subjective, is is it not?

Addendum (August 2018): Look, the game is a bit crap if I'm being honest. Please don't be put off by the first few levels in the western setting, the game gets better as it goes on. This was the first game I made, ALL of the programming was an utter noob. I have no idea how this even made it on to Steam. Look, I've reduced the price to the lowest possible setting. At this point, I just want some people to play my crappy old game.

Definitely what I expect from an indie, one-man-developed game! True retro FPS feeling, (idiotically) story driven and cool original soundtrack. Yes, it's very basic gameplay and very easy to complete (and a few bugs aswell), but a cool time killer. Read the description and that's just what this game is.

This game is actually good. The game play actually is pretty good. The only gripe I have is that I can't change mouse dpi in game. There is actually multiple endings which I wasn't expecting even if there is only 2. My favorite thing about the game is that the main character is just trying to go to a pub. The main character is a real bro for that reason alone. There is funny commentary by the main character. The concept is cool as well I won't spoil anything but honestly makes the title fitting. Actually was some plot I didn't expect. Honestly the models for the enemies actually fit because they are demons to be honest. The guns are fun to use. Movement is fun even if the fps is a little low. The only gun I didn't really use was the revolver passed the first chapter so all guns are useful for the most part. Fists aren't a terrible choice of weapon either in the first chapter since your mouse 2 actually one shots most enemies. I was recommended to play this by a friend and I definitely ...

HOLY HELL THAT WAS ONE GREAT EXPERIENCE! Played the whole campaign, only crashed once and softlocked twice in my 4.5 hour slow stroll, the models are ugly, the shaders are broken, the enemy AI is laughable, early game is way too easy, but it ramps up to a somewhat challenge near the end. I recommend you start from chapter 1, but if it really does not suit you, start from chapter 2, its an option. I highly recommend, and it saddens me that this game will probably stay unknown. I only found out this game existed because of space quest 2099. P.S. Jordan Taylor, if you are still kicking about, keep it up :)
