Okay, so I have a lot to say here based on the first hour so bear with me here. First, I picked up this game because I saw someone playing it and it was reminiscent of the old school RPGs I grew up playing and still love to this day. It gave me an immediate feeling of nostalgia and to a large degree it delivers on that consistently from startup all the way through. Having said that; there are some things that immediately jumped out at me that I think are worth mentioning. Before I begin though; I want to preface this by saying I DO think that if these types of RPGs appeal to you; you should try it. There are things that it delivers on and it stays true to what it's trying to be and you're either going to find yourself in the camp of "This is good and I enjoy it" or "I don't think this is for me." You aren't going to know until you play it for yourself. If nothing else, you have two hours to make your determination and if it doesn't fit you - you can refund it. The ga...

About This Game
Gravebind is a classic isometric (2.5d) open world adventure RPG, while also planning to provide MMORPG and private multiplayer server modes, that will take you back to the 1990s, the golden age of gaming. If you are a fan of PC based RPGs of that era then you will likely fall in love with the nostalgia of this game. Enjoy a customizable character both visually and skillfully with an expanding set of skills to help aid you through a number of quests and exploration activities that the game has to offer in early access.
The story will take you through a medieval fantasy world that is approaching an apocalypse, blood moons send warning of coming evil and darkness. While trying to get away from the desolation of your own homeland you boarded a ship hoping to escape danger but instead storms at sea have forced your arrival in the mystical land known as Moonhaven; your destiny awaits you here! Arriving as just a stranger in this land you can progress through a series of quests that will gradually help you become the centerpiece in the story. Some quests will offer decision points and different ways to complete them that will affect future planned story parts.
One of the unique features Gravebind has to offer is the ability to customize various settings for your game world to adjust difficulty and offer greater re-playability. You can scale things like economics, quest difficulty, drop rates and we have plans to allow you to tailor the game play experience for how you may like to play an RPG.
Some of the other things we have planned for Gravebind are crafting, player customizable housing, 20 – 30 quests planned for this first chapter of the game with plans to offer purchasable game expansions for additional story and area of the game.
We plan to provide the private server multiplayer and public MMORPG open world server(s) for the game in the not to distant future once the single player mode features for the first chapter are complete, much of our development has been mindful of these modes and predeveloped to support them so that implementation will hopefully be quicker when the time comes.
We hope to provide you with regular game updates that will add features as we progress through the development of this game and we look forward to hearing your feedback as we add new features.
Here are the features we plan to provide at early access launch:

The game reminds me very much of old school retro feel with a skill system most likely inspired by ultima online and with its isometric style, gives it that iconic feel and nostalgia if you are an old school player. Just like the older generation of RPG games, this game will not hold your hands and is pretty much where you have to explore and find the quests in game. I've spent 10 hours in the game and I am currently still in the next town over from Dragonhead and slowly making progress with my skills. There are lots of skills to pick which equates to having to try different builds. Granted some of these skills I have not yet tested and do not know if they are fully completed but then again this is early access. I also like the fact that I can customise my experience based on my preference on difficulty and experience modifiers, Most recently the dev has added a sandbox mode, which is great for those who just want to do open exploration rather than story driven focus. Players have also...
EULA makes it so you don't own what you purchase. Game is absolute shit at the moment. Trying to fix it buy changing all the useless, stupid programming makes the game crash. Do not buy. Useless, just like it's developers.
I get that this game is going fully retro. I wish they'd use modern/standard ARPG controls though. I think that is the most frustrating thing for me at the moment. Also, a lot of terrain / buildings don't disappear when you go behind them, so you lose full sight of your character/NPC/enemies. That can be annoying too. Otherwise, I'm enjoying the game for what it is.
