About This Game

A retro open world RPG, farming sim, and dungeon crawler.
Knightblade is best described as an open world fantasy game mixed with farming and life sim elements, as if it were made in the golden age of video games. After creating your character from the 8 options presented to you (four classes, two genders, eight sprite options), our future hero will move into a beautiful little town and start their life as a humble farmer. But quickly you realize there is a mystery focused on the dungeons that lurk below. A mystery that involves the God of Death, and your own family legacy. Explore the world through a retro-style world map, explore the towns and locales of the region. Farm and mine to earn precious gold. Help local citizens with quests. Fall in love. Then head into the deep dark dungeons.. clear each one, slaughtering monsters and collecting treasure, while slowly the mystery of why you came to this town will begin to unravel. This is Knightblade.
This is a low-cost game designed with a main story that can be completed in a couple hours. Players can rush through it, but they won't find all there is to discover. It's encouraged to play at your own pace and explore the world. The farming elements are not complex, there is a larger focus on clearing dungeons. Each dungeon cleared advances the story forward. But the main goal is freedom for the player. Players can grind in the dungeons, or focus on other things.

The developer of this game is a con artist. He made a game in RPG Maker and promised future DLC releases and content updates. None of that happened. His excuse? He's working on other new games! And even better yet - he's asking people for donations to support his NEW GAME development in the community tab of this game! Yikes bro. Maybe live up to your promises to the people who gave you their money for THIS game? Don't support a scam artist.
The fact that this game describes itself as 'open world' is laughable. It's a linear hamfisted dungeon crawl, where you kill an arbitrary number of randomly spawned enemies to advance. The 'life sim' elements such as farming and romance are the absolute bare minimum - yes there's a 'farm', but you don't manage it in any way, it might as well spit 15 carrots into your inventory every morning. I bought this game on the promise of depth, but by the end I felt I'd been tricked into running full tilt into a wall, Will E. Coyote style.
WAY too short for actually to be called a game. more like an experiment project playing around rpg maker mv. for my play time i fall asleep halfway , actual playthrough was around 90min
This game shows that a single developer can deliver a really nice game made in RPG Maker. The developer really made an outstanding work, creating a well balanced game with a nice story. The game consist mainly of a linear main quest, with some side quest and world exploration, not needed to finish the game but adds a lot. The maps are good enough for what the developer wants to show, it could use a little bit more of fine tuning but overall the developer did a great job. The game takes about two hours to finish if you don't do any exploration or side quest, which in my opinion is impressive for this kind of games. The game is very polished, I didn't found bugs or anything that could break the game. The developer even added some minigames and other options that expand and shows how much he was committed to this game. I believed if you are an indie developer, and wants to develop a game using this engine, this game is worth to take a look as an example of what can be made by a single per...
