Hamboy : AutoChess Survivor

At the point of this review i have played this game for 2,6 hours. I will adjust that review, once things have changed probably. I managed to finish a run with only Bows. Everything else i tried feels way underwhelming. Melee in comparison to Brotato kinda sucks damage wise. Its a bit simpler with the shop, but the only things that can increase your survivability are the weapon synergies. But what does that bring me if the weapons itself do like no damage. Hopefully they will adjust those things in the future. All in all this looks like a good start so far.

I've done 2 difficulty 5 clears now, pretty fun game. Not super balanced yet, but most synergies are usable.

Looked promising to me, but after just a few runs, it just feels boring. And that while having played a lot of Vampire Survivors.

I liked the game, its rather refreshing having to optimize weapon builds different to similar games, and i liked the gameplay and difficulty. However, cannot recommend as there are no more updates since early September, seems like the developer(s) abandonded the game.

While there isn't a ton of content, updates should come quickly based on how often they are posted. I have 150 hours on Brotato, this is NOT that game. Please stop comparing it! It is like comparing (good)Sonic and Mario because they are both 2d plateformers. This game is different because it is quite literally autochess with an economy and synergy weapon only system which have way more impact then Brotato. It is different style of gameplay and strategy for optimization. I think my biggest compliant is how the balance isn't the best overall, the lack of weapons, and frankly how easy the game. But it is still in development so this is expected when you buy a game early that not everything is added, and nothing everything is perfectly balanced. For 4 dollars I have an extremely good time playing and plan to play more. Edit : Not recommended anymore due to lack of content updates.

Played 2.6 hours and pretty much finished the current content. Was excited for new content but looks like the game is most likely dead. Game is playable but not worth the price to me.
