On the positive side, the art style is cute and it doesn't cost a lot. Oh! And LGBTQ+ representation! Loved that part. But on the negative side... oh dear. There really isn't much to do. You could finish this game in a few minutes. Storywise the game hints at a lot, but doesn't actually deliver any of it. Look, if the dialogue was really funny, then maybe it wouldn't matter. But the dialogue is ... not great. Without spoiling anything: The ending is boring, requires basically no thought whatsoever and is tedious. I would have been unsure how I feel about the game if not for the ending/endings. The way those play out (what you need to do. How you need to do it.) was what really made me write this review. Please don't buy this. It will only bring you disappointment.

About This Game

ABOUT THE GAME:
Beracus and Lee finally have a lead to more information about a potential cure for Beracus' suffering village.
Upon finding the entrance to an apparently abandoned bunker, the two become trapped inside and discover the place is inhabited by a family of hospitable cult members, who also happen to be skeletons. The family mistakes the two for fellow members, and invites them to "stay for the party" and wait for the "New World". Unfortunately, Lee and Beracus don't have that kind of time! They'll similarly meet their deaths down there if they don't escape, and they still have to find their all important cure!
Together they must explore and talk to the skeleton family to discover clues, collect items, and try to unravel the tragedies that turned this simple bunker into a tomb.

Good quick little adventure game with good writing and a fantastic and unique art style. Absolutely worth the price and Im interested to see where the story goes from here, hopefully it will be continued somewhere in the near future!
Really nice game, enjoyed the writing and the characters and the art is so good! A nice little puzzle game, would recommend.
I have to start off by saying play the One Eyed Lee Prologue on itch.io, I did that before playing this and found myself really benefiting from knowing the extra bits of lore. I appreciate the little touches like the interface using wheat and knowing little things about Lee going in that adds to his mystery. Well, I can't recommend this and the prologue enough, they're both excellent. DarkChibiShadow have something truly inspired here and I really want to see where this series goes next. The art looks great and these characters are extremely well thought out, the relationship between Beracus and Lee is truly interesting and the way the player is just plopped right in the middle of their story works extremely well. It makes us much more eager to learn about them through the game itself and I found myself reading all the notes no matter what because I didn't want to miss out on potential clues to their backstories, which works for its point-n-click aspect since the notes in the journal ...
The game is just a master piece. The artstyle ist grogerous and beautiful. A game where you actually feel like you understand the puzzles and can solve them without the hours of brain melting processes. Can't even find one thing I don't like. It's very well made and I hope that more people find this game as amazing and beautiful as I do so I can find more fanarta about it. I hope there's more or even a part two where we can finally find out what's going on about the thing that possessed the village and Lee. I personally am pretty excited about everything.
A charming short game filled with love, tragedy and interesting characters. At first I was bothered by how much dialogue and little gameplay the introduction had but later appreciated it more due to the fascinating story. I would totally recommend this game to anyone who wants to play a short puzzle game with good writing. It's not the best one I've ever played, but it's one that I shall definetly remember.
I don't normally review stuff but wanted to for this, was super invested! Not so much pros but just general things I enjoyed when playing: - Didn't have to fiddle with the volume settings at all upon startup like most games. - I like the stylised dialogue boxes they're really nice to look at. - I like the soft selection tone when mousing over buttons as well as advancing text. - Beracus had a really fun variety of expression and I just genuinely loved his entirely style and palette. - I enjoyed that I got stumped for a bit but eventually figured out that old dialogue paths branched out when you find out new information. - Shockingly creepy sound design at a spoiler section! - Very engaging narrative when I found out more and more of the bunker, what had led the folks there and more! I'm super engaged in the story now and can't wait to see a sequel if you get around to it, I'd love to know what the heck is going on in Beracus' town. Final note! Beracus is super cute.
I love this artist and I love this game! Definitely instills a sense of creepiness as you go along. I can't wait for the next chapter!
Cute, fun and interesting so far
Really liked it, the art looks so good and the story is just on the same level, though I'd have liked more lore but since there's supposed to be more parts I'm assuming we're going to get what's missing there! What we get already is enough explosure to understand what is going on in the game so it doesn't really matter for the moment, I'm just really curious about lore in general oops
