About the Game

Jack Move is a fresh take on turn based Japanese style RPG’s. Promising a unique blend of gritty cyberpunk storytelling, turn-based battles, and beautiful modern pixel art.

Take on the role of Noa Solares: An up-and-coming vigilante hacker from Bright Town. When the overreaching mega-corporation Monomind, kidnaps Abner, her estranged father, Noa has no choice but to get him back, before it's too late. Why is Abner researching digitised consciousness? And what does Monomind want to do with it?

Noa won't be alone on her journey. She'll be helped out by her best friend and tactical planner, Ryder, as well as her Martini drinking uncle and ex-corporate spy, Guin Blakely.

Battle Noa’s foes in the unique single-party-member turn-based battle system, featuring beautiful animation and tactical gameplay.

Customise the software of your Cyber Deck to switch roles mid-battle, balancing offense, defense, and buffs. Choosing which software you load during battle is the key to victory! Hardware upgrades can help boost your stats, increase the amount of software you can install or give Noa extra abilities.

 • Gorgeous “Hi-Bit” pixel art inspired by retro RPGs and enhanced with modern techniques.
 • Battle your foes in cyberspace. Take them down using a multitude of sweet hacking software.
 • Explore the dangerous world of Monocity One and takedown Monomind, the evil mega-corporation that controls it.
 • Play as Noa Solares, a sassy hacker out to save her father and the world.
 • Fight your way through dungeons filled with all sorts of cyberpunk villany. Street punks, gangsters, corporate militia and horrific cyber-experiments-gone-wrong will all be vying to take you down!
 • Bite size 7-10 hour campaign.

A ginger with BPD and daddy issues living in a world where most conflicts are resolved in VRchat must, for some reason, save her dad from a megacorporation in a plot so cliche and droll it's physically painful. All in service of the third-least cyberpunk game I have played. It reminds of an equally poorly designed and poorly written game - Subterrean - in that it's chock full of characters that are either vectors for spork humor or strawmen for the developers to vent their frustrations upon. And like Subterrean the protagonist is downright unlikable. To the point where if you told me she was a self-insert I would believe you. In either case I'm not falling for that again. No, I'm not finishing the game. For a plot that is this short both chronologically and in terms of runtime, it's mostly been a lot of running back and forth, fighting the same battles ad nauseum, and getting lectured by Tumblr. Fitting that I reference a zombie company here, I guess. Anyways 1/...

I love the vibe of this game, the music and the visual. The pixel artstyle is actually great, I can even read the signs and the grafities on the wall when most other similar style games dont even bother to make them readable. but thats about it of what i can say nice things about this game. The battles are underwhelming, they tried to add elemental damages for varieties but you can just brute force your way thru it. Level scaling of 90% of the enemies isn't even there, after i reached lvl 15 i can even beat enemies on "the rightmost dungeon" and its just smooth sailing from there The upgrades looks like it gives you variety of options for customization, but its more like a tiny stepping stone to get the most expensive upgrades and never bother with it again The storyline is just your average "big corpo is evil" kind of plot, not that the writing is bad but i dont think its good either, probably somewhere between decently mid or mid-ly shallow All in all, its just a fun but short game ...

I love this game, but I cannot give it a good review, thanks to the final boss being the least fun slog of my LIFE. The final boss, avoiding spoilers of whom or what, seems to have a dodge rating of 80+%, meaning that my attacks almost always miss. This deplorable being is already a massive HP sponge with six or more digits of total HP. This combined with me missing roughly 80% of my attacks is, frankly, utter bullshit.

Cool short indie rpg. Incredibly high quality art. The music and story are also really nice. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a unique indie rpg.

I was a real classic rpg style game, some things could be improved but the game itself delivered what it promised.

This is a fun, final fantasy-like retro turn-based rpg. The main story isn't too long but there are side quests to do as well. I got stuck on the final boss but really enjoyed the combat and highly recommend this game.
