Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
I bought this game on the Steam Winter Sale 2018 for $2.79 USD. I think this game is worth that much, but I'm not sure it's worth the $6.99 USD retail price given the amount and quality of the content. However, this escape room is higher quality than most escape rooms. Not only is there voice acting (although not very good voice acting), but there's video cut scenes on the virtual televisions. This escape room is highly detailed and actually feels like it could be a real room somewhere in the world. You can grab almost any item and move it wherever you want. A few items even have a particular use in solving the puzzles. There's some randomness in the escape room each time you try (although the core logic is the same). Locomotion is by teleportation and there is no turning (except IRL). You have a timer for 30 minutes to finish the puzzle. I only got 2 of the 4 keys you're supposed to get. I'm stumped at the moment, bu...

About This Game
Certainly,my ability is limited, I hope you guys can support me, and you can leave valuable suggestions in the discussion area.
The operation of the game is the traditional VR operation mode, the side button means grab the item, the trigger button to use the object, the touch pad moves for a short distance; The game
also can adjust the room size and support the standing mode.
Key Of Impasse is not a game with a long game duration. The original purpose of making this game is to provide offline experience with VR. Therefore, the decryption time of the game has a limit of 30 minutes. However, personally, a 30-minute experience is not enough to complete all decryption, maybe you need a second, third or more ; The game also provides a random password function, which is the player's password and even the placement of items in the secret room after the player re-enters the game. It will be different from the previous game.
The mission key uses a more realistic environment, including art processing at each location, physical property settings, etc., almost every object you see can be crawled and interacted, and the player can even open the sofa very laboriously and pushed it to the shelf.

An escape-the-room game with a shorter time limit than usual (30 minutes.) I feel bad for the developer because it's obvious they had some big plans and they weren't picked up like they planned on. I guess we'll never know. Unfortunately I can't recommend the game except for under $1 for the "why not" factor. Here are some of the issues I encountered: - Grabbing is inconsistent; I was extremely likely to slam a cabinet shut on my hands while trying to retrieve the item inside it. I also apparently could fling things across the room while trying to grab them. It would be impressive if it wasn't so annoying. - Having to hold down the grips to hold something, whether it's a flashlight or a key or a card. It makes your hands hurt very quickly. Make gripping a toggle. - There appears to be an achievement related to
the couch.
I was unable to get this achievement because
the couch refuses to move even the slightest amount, even when applying the crowbar or ...
Really nice escape-the-room title. Did it in 12 minutes, so I consider it a little overpriced, but I think maybe other people would take longer to do it, so it may be worth it. Nice atmosphere, almost everything can be grabbed. I think it's a really nice first VR game for the dev, and I hope the dev will make other games because he has a huge potential. A few days ago, I couldn't run the game. Sent him an email, and bug has been fixed really quickly. Thank you very much for that.
Cool game but please add a toggle grip function. I found my hands burning from trying to constantly hold the flash light.
Experienced on Valve Index
Nice little escape room game. At time of writing the game costs $2.00 at full price and I picked it up on sale for $0.50 and at those prices I can definitely recommend it. There is a 30 minute timer, and it took me two tries to beat it, about 40 minutes in total. First time I got stuck on the circuit board puzzle. If not for that, it probably would've taken me 20-25 minutes. One thing I appreciated was that some items moved and codes changed the 2nd time through, so you couldn't immediately run to the safes and enter the codes you remembered. It wasn't a drastic change, but a neat little touch. There are a couple annoyances. The game is short enough and cheap enough that I personally give it a pass, but YMMV:

Only teleport. No analog movement. I'd at least like turning so I don't get tangled in my cable.
Picking up items doesn't always work smoothly.
Highly recommended. I played two time to pass through. It is the most interesting VR Room Escape game I have even played. The puzzle is logical and not trivial. You need to think. And some of the puzzle change everytime such that you cannot memorize. Thanks for the developer to develop such a good game.
Who cares about the Nudity people? In iceland, nudity is normal, it won't screw up your child, come on. Violence is worse. As for the game, it's 30 minutes unless you re-do it for the achievements. It's actually quite fun, but the controls are frustrating. It can be done in a small room if you can manage the space.
+ For .49 It's a great price for content + Fun little escape room + Good for those just learning how to Escape an escape room. +/- English Translation is so/so - EXTREMELY easy. - It almost holds your hand it's so easy. - Probably an average of 10-15 minutes to solve it - Ending is Sort of 'Cliche' - Picking up things is glitchy and often makes you drop whatever you're holding for no reason. 3.5/5 This would definitely be a neutral/informative if I could give it that, however due to it being so cheap right now (at $.49) I can't not recommend it. For that price, you get what you pay for. A pretty cheaply made feeling, quick, easy escape room. But as escape rooms go, there are more expensive ones that offer the same content. Failed on my first 30 minute lock in. Nice game though, very slick with great imersion . Will definitely come back for more to complete the game. Well done to the developer👍
Really enjoyable 30mins, especially for the price. A little janky but a fun, quick escape room
