About This Game

Sumo is a multiplayer physics-based party game for up to 4 players, where players use their wits, special abilities, and spherical physique to wrestle your human or AI opponents over the edge of irrationally hazardous Arenas. You have only one objective - Be the last sphere standing.

Sumo was originally a small-priced product and was a learning project for our team. It did not have commercial interest, and we ceased development on it in 2019. Since it isn't commercially viable, I decided to make the game free for everyone - I'd rather it be a possible bit of entertainment for some if possible!

If you do enjoy, please consider checking out our current title, which has been published and successful and will continue to be our primary development focus in the future.

Fast-Paced Action

Each of Sumo's spherical combatants is deceptively maneuverable -- dashing and jumping to juke attacks and hazards alike. Do your best to snap up Boost Orbs to power up your devastating ability, before your round rivals do.

Unique Arenas

Each Arena in Sumo offers creative ways to send your opponents careening off the edge. But beware, all Arenas continuously collapse, leaving only one player victorious. In Sumo, look forward to unceremonious ring-out by such things as:

Pressurized pipe-blasts of the WaterWorks!

Incoming meteors in Sumo in Space!

Runaway trains in Railway Rumble!

... but be sure to knock your friends into all of them!

Multiplayer Mayhem

The longer you survive, the more points you get! The first to reach the point goal wins. In Sumo, ties cannot be tolerated, and are settled with the white-knuckle, rapid-fire Sudden Death round!

Extremely well made, fun but simple game. Easy to pick up and play and understand. Varied gameplays and characters to pick from that fit playstyle. light hearted, whimsical art style. Borderline addicting, as I'm trying to work on grad school apps, but keep wanting to play this instead. Great game at a great price point. can only imagine this would be a ton of fun with friends.

Just not ready for prime-time playtime. I feel that the game has potential......but it crashed repeatedly forcing me into a hard reboot, and just was not worth the effort. So I returned it. While I realize that the game is an early release, there should be some basic standards before expecting people to drop some cash down. As for the game: The best way I could describe the game is a hybrid of "marble madness warriors with King of the Hill". Knock the others off the board and be the last one standing (or rolling). The game has some fun moments, and I think it has some creative aspects to try and mix things up a bit. It is fun to have four players rolling around which can lead to some laughter. The game can, however get a bit stale. One suggestion I have for the developers: See if you can offer a mix of players "powers", so that players don't get fed up with the same old "cheese move" over and over again. While I wish I could recommend this game, I just can't. I feel that...

Insanely fun and very addictive in the best way possible. This game right here defines "Party Game" in my book. Sumo is light hearted fun that may reduce you to tears of laughter at any moment. The game is easy to pick up and play and it wont matter if your knee high to a grass hopper or as old as dirt, any age group can understand these slick controls. So gather your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, Uber drivers, the in-laws, UPS man, your boss, thier boss, and Zombies! (people forget they have feelings too!) plop down and get ready for jolly good time!!
