About This Game

Ever wanted to design, build and manage a café on your very own home computer? Really? OK then... welcome to HIPSTER CAFÉ.

-Make stupid food, serve it on a skateboard, and impress your friends by drawing in your coffee.
-Is that a utility object or décor? Customise your space to keep it at the cutting edge of design.
-Fill your café with the latest greatest entertainments and distractions. You should probably put an axe throwing range in your café, that seems safe.
-Keep up to date on the latest trends on social media, send out a Toot with the right hashtags before the Hot Take timer goes out.

Use your trust fund to buy up some old warehouse building in the run down part of town then market it to the nouveau riche in a cynical attempt to drive up property prices. Can you successfully navigate the shifting waters of pop culture in order to market your eatery to the hippest demographic?

Developed in the Loading Bar in the hipster centre of Dalston, London by a bunch of hairy people who work as 'freelancers in media', Hipster Café is a simulation game based on very real life experiences. In it, you must serve up a menu based on the latest trends, research more obscure coffees and entertain the Hipsters by building up a map of ridiculous furniture.

Cute game, but I have a bunch of suggestions: -I think the deco is a little too big -I really don't get latte art -Please let me rotate the camera with the mouse -The social media system is really confusing -The blurrieness is really annoying -The customers in the store behave and move really chaotic, it really doesn't feel like a cozy cafe, they just run and dance around, don't act like guests, have breakdowns over needs -Sometimes I couldn't place the chairs next to each other -Sometimes when trying to place ingredients, they float away -Can we save recipes? -Can we edit recipes?

Cute game, a little janky, runs badly and appears to have been abandoned by the devs

The music is my favorite part. Although, it gets quite boring pretty fast. I think the game is great but I can't see myself playing it any longer than I already have. I agree with the suggestions already posted in the reviews. There is a lot of things I don't understand, like social media and the customers hating the menu even though I tailor the menu to them. Regardless, good game but not for me ig.

I've been watching this game since the announcement trailer and patiently waited for over a year to be updated on the release. It's a little rough around the edges (minor bugs, minor glitches, things that can be fixed most of the time when you just restart the game or reload your save) but for an early access game I'm really happy with it so far. The devs seem nice, and fairly active in responses as well. Very easy for me to support them and give a recommend in its current state. :)

Hipster Cafe is a fun one with a lot of promise. The actual dish assembly is one of my favorite tasks/minigames I've found in games like this. Nothing beats thinking up some odd recipe and serving it in a pet bowl (because I serve everything in pet bowls in this cafe). Then the popularity mechanic is actually pretty interesting as well, with ever changing demographics one must adapt to. However, it does still feel very much like a game in EA (and it is, to be fair). I think I guessed well, but I still had to guess what every piece of equipment did. I researched everything, expanded, amassed over 100K, and I still don't know if I need the bread oven or the cold brew coffee machine (much less if we should keep our old equipment or replace it with upgrades). Probably the worst, though, is I am not really sure what the development status is right now. I would hate for this thing to fizzle out when it has so much promise, but I couldn't find any current updates on it. For that reason, I a...
