No controller?
I really wanted to enjoy Unbound: Worlds Apart — it’s gorgeous, creative, and the portal mechanic is cool. But playing this on keyboard? Pure torture. After 30 minutes, my fingers hurt. After an hour, I started wondering if the devs secretly hate human hands. It was just an experiment, because I had a controller and my brother said it's been a torture for him playing on a keyboard. So I tried it myself and now I can rely on it. Here is why. The platforming demands absolute pixel-perfect jumps and frame-perfect timing. Miss by a single pixel or a millisecond? Dead. And sometimes it feels like you’re just leaping blindly and praying you land where you’re supposed to. This game needs a controller. Without one, it’s less of a magical adventure and more of a repetitive finger-pain simulator. Still, it's a beautiful game with gorgeous graphics and a genuinely interesting portal mechanic that shifts between worlds and timelines. On the ot...

Good game with interesting mecanics and excellent art. The story is good enough, I the duration is just perfect
Do not play this game without a controller. I played through the entire game up to the final boss using only a keyboard, and it was torture far too often. Sometimes there’s zero margin for error—you can’t be even a millisecond late or a pixel off. I couldn’t kill the final boss without a controller, so I actually went and bought one just to finish. The story exists, but it’s nothing special—more on the absurd side, maybe 5/10 at best. And after all that suffering, what do I get? A “bad ending.” Not just a bad ending—SPOILER:
your animal friend dies.
I don’t recommend this unless you’re actively looking for a brutal challenge or want to test your controller skills to the limit.
This game left me with no sense of accomplishment at the end, as by the time I beat Arawen, I was frustrated by the hit-boxes of certain things and the unnecessary precision you need in some areas followed by other areas that require little skill. Too much up and down and too much blind areas where you have to know what is ahead in order to get past it. I'd rather react to what is ahead then die and learn to jump before the screen scrolls. Get this blah-sandwich game on sale if you want an afternoon of some fun portal tech.
