As the ayakashi (monster) invasion draws closer and becomes increasingly victorious, Ese Len and Sarume Shinonome learn that the enemy they are facing may not be the ayakashi. As a direct sequel to part 1, part 2 uses the same background scenes and character sprites as the first part. The game retains a glossary and highlighted keywords to help readers follow the storyline, and the OP Waltz of the Princess Knight as my favourite theme song of the series. Plot-wise, part 2 makes up for the disappointment in the cliffhanger ending in part 1 by providing a better ending in-game, and in the extra stories DLC. The story also delivers on the hints left behind in part 1 by reve...

So this is the sequel and conclusion ot the Ne no Kami tale... or is it? While the story is as engaging as the first half and the art is beautiful, I cannot help but be slightly... annoyed with the ending. Frankly, I'm not sure if it was a good ending or not...
Sure the four girls survive and can pursue their love... but the evil organization behind it all now rules the world. Makes me wonder if there is another part to come where that gets taken care of.
Still, it is a good read. However, do get Part 1 first. And there might be a patch for more... explicit content, but I don't know what it would add.
Part 2 of the Visual Novel is as action and story rich as the first part. With a ending twist with the last part, and a intense battle on the start of the second part, with an even more deeper story buiding with all the events and hint gathering, the story continues its fascinating way towar the hardest of the emotions, be itlovee, be it pain, or even sadness and Bloodspread. The events take quite a harsch turn of pace, which deepens aswell the resolve of the young generation. The twist between humor and seriousness akes it a very lively, yet grabbing story which captivates any reader in an amazing adventure. I can definitely onyrecomment it further. I am also eager to the next part of the story once it get released! With this much story building, with so many events and secrets, i really really do hope, really deep in my heart that we will have a whole series ofthis VN! I also could even imagine a anime adaptation of this VN wit a high succes!
Good shit. A pretty significant upgrade from the first game; plot and characterization were both very strong and the yuri scenes (do purchase the accompanying uncensor patch from denpasoft) were significantly sexier. I'm definitely hyped for (a potential?) part 3. Regarding the ending, although part 2 does leave room for continuation, it comes to a much more concrete/complete ending point compared to the cliffhanger from part 1, in a sense completing in arc. For readers worried about being left on the brink of a story that never gets finished I would say that no longer applies to this series.
This is a lesson on how to ruin a good story in a few steps.
Introduction
This is the sequel of the first Ne no Kami series, and I have to say I'm thoroughly dissapointed in various levels. I'll explain why in the following paragraphs.
Worldbuilding, or how to nuke believability
The worldbuilding of this game is utterly broken. Even when the fact that the rules of the divine sword wielders reimaned consistent, the introduction of a completely different mythology into the worldbuliding elements came out of the blue, and it was never foreshadowed at all. Worldbuilding elements, especially new ones, just like plot payoffs and character payoffs, need proper setups, so the relation cause-effect doesn't break, thus maintaining the suspension of disbelief on the reader. The introduction of a foreign mythology with no foreshadowing destroyed any sense of believeability this story had, and took me out of the story completely. I think this was introduced at the last min...
As always, this VN exceeded my expectations as I recommend it to buy once you has finished the previous. However
Haku didn't deserve to die
.
To wrap this up with the Part 1 review, the latter half where all of the payoff and actually interesting stuff happens with the story, its world and characters but it all ends on a sequel bait between "fricking really?" and "okay I might be interested to know more", from a sale price. The same technical/presentation comments carry over from the first part's review since these two should have been a single game in the first place and plot carries over quite seamlessly so you get bit of a breather between the serious moments and clandestine mythological conspiracy theories. And no the latter wasn't allusion to the separate adult only DLC content but yeah, there's some balance here with all three ingredients. The ending paints this out as trilogy that was hacked apart to be a long winded prologue, actual content and oops we don't have time to do anything interesting with the world's background lore outside of the Kunai Organization's village, single mall and the Sealing Stone locations....
I just think this VN is super cool and good
Convoluted as hell and ends in a cliffhanger that isn't gonna get resolved ever so unless you are forced or have to do a review about it avoid at all cost
FUCK i came here for "PLOT" yet what i got was acual plot damit gunna be pissed if there a part 3 and its not out yet all yall looking for just a generic vn with some cg scenes to nut to avoid i say
