Very cool, creative only though, as the auth stated, save doesn't work right, back to the game
Great start to the game...enjoying just building and checking out the island. Excited for the Survival features coming soon.
New edit, made a video explaining issues: https://youtu.be/NnGXBU8IAwM Edit: 20/11/2017 I am getting quite concerned, the dev stated the survival update would be out Summer time, yet there has been nothing. Worse still the dev is not responding to comments in the forum. If you see this dev you really need to at least comment to your players on what is happening! Right now it is looking abandoned, if you are still working on it say something. I still say no, more so due to lack of dev response, give us an update and my opinion can still change. Previous comment: So I had a little play with this and here are some thoughts I have. The Island generation is interesting, however right now the Islands are small, all hills and not particularly eye catching, they are just random and not really inspiring. I had an Island which had a stream going down hill which was nice, however when getting to the top I found it was coming from the ground literally, that really did not make sense or look...
It was nice and relaxing. As one who is suffering from cancer and chemotherapy, relaxation and getting away from it all is what I seek often. Fatigue keeps me from doing much adventuring or action games. With that said, I have only three requests at this time for the developer. They probably already have these in mind but just in case: The ability to delete an object. There might be a way but I haven't found it. I put the wrong window type in and couldn't get rid of it, so I just placed it out of the way. Windows that you can see through without the blurriness. I was building a small cabin on a hill overlooking the ocean and the window panes are blurry. Lastly, a way to save the island so that we can come back and work on our construction some more. If some of these have been addressed, I apologize in advance. I enjoy just wandering around and exploring too so the game is well worth the cost for me.
The suspense of trying to figure out how to craft a huge vertical beach hut... ok, 7 wooden poles stuck end to end, with a bamboo pedestal on top, with your trusty shotgun in hand, watching the sun slowly glow through the sky, awaiting the inevitable nightfall, and zombie/creature rampage, is just that... suspense (early March, will update review once Survival's in) But it's suspense, done so well. The graphics and ambience are beautiful. The in-game Radio's are really great, with up to date, real world news. I was lying on my couch, listening to waves crashing in a storm, with world politics playing calmly in the background, when I realised almost an hour went by with my eyes closed and my headset still on. The atmosphere is amazing already, and I gotta ask, to make it friendly to 'all' gamesters, that Survival Mode becomes an 'Option', and not mandatory, but personally I can't wait for Survival Mode.
i think the developer left
the controls suck, and the survival doesnt exist.
Maybe in time the game will add more, but unless this is really your thing or you want to support the development, I can't recommend it in its current state.
A great way to play a 'survival' game in VR. Top knotch so far, can't wait to see what comes next!
