About This Game

Intro
The first outposts fell within minutes and before morning there was nothing but radio silence.

Did they come from a distant world or deep within the Earth’s crust? Perhaps they were formed by the very fibers of man’s worst intentions, a cosmic comeuppance for lives misspent. Whatever their origin, these are the facts: they don’t rest, they can’t be reasoned with, and their intent is singular; to extinguish mankind wherever they step foot.

Shore up your outpost, take up arms, and hope the night ends with this terrible enemy returning from whence they came.

Gameplay
The outposts have gone quiet and the sensor network is down, but things look clear at outpost 1. Have they withdrawn or do they lie quietly in wait? You must make your way to the outpost to find the answer.

Get the outposts back online, and with the help of your AI companion accessible over your handheld radio, take back and defend from an onslaught of monstrous invaders. Use whatever you can to keep them at bay. Board up the doors and build your defenses, secure the hatches, but even that won’t stop them for long... Load up, strap on your guns, and prepare to fight to reclaim what’s yours.

Play the first gamemode Reclamation, at outpost 1. New reclamation maps will be released monthly and sometimes seasonally depending on the occasion.

Features
  • Unique barricade system for building up your defenses to hold the attackers at bay.
  • Periodic map releases with unique scenarios to keep things fresh.
  • Relentless AI that will stop at nothing in their pursuit to track you down and kill you.
  • A variety of weapons for sending the geisters into oblivion.
  • Beautiful and terrifying sound design that builds a sense of peril.
  • A stylized comic book esque world.

Updates
  • New map with expanded gameplay
  • All new weapons
  • Improved AI
  • Updated graphics and style
  • Multiple movement controls, now including slide movement.

Future
  • More outposts to reclaim
  • Additional game modes, meaning new goals in new places, with new tools to get the job done.
  • Story mode.
  • Improved mechanics. We've got things in a good place for an early access release but we still have time to spend time ironing out mechanics, for all aspects of game play.
  • More dynamic gameplay. From setting traps to sneaking, future game modes will offer even more diverse gameplay.

Oculus Support
  • Oculus is fully supported out of the box with a 2 sensor setup.

    Vive Support
  • Vive is fully supported out of the box.

This game is kinda good for a beta game. the game is in development and i wish to see more in the future. there are some suprising moments in the game that gives a good scare. This games idea is good. The game also has it downsides. There is only 2 guns. there is only one room where you have to stay. But it´s still in development and i wish to see more from this game in the future I recomend this game!

This is a great game to show off VR to friends. The goal and controls are pretty intuitive (i.e., survive) and the atmosphere is fantastic. It'a a great demonstration of how immersive VR games can be with good audio design. The devs seem committed to improving the game, and I definitely appreciate the option to disable sliding as it means this game is accessible even to people who have issues with motion sickness. This game is on my shortlist of "games I show people who haven't played VR to try to sell them on the concept" and I've had great response.

This is a great concept of a nice arcade survival style VR. However it needs a lot of work. On the hardest setting the enemies were still easy and the wave of them respawning was very slow that being said there was no difficulty played. Putting the boards on the doors was very glitchy and after a couple times playing I noticed you dont even need to put them up due to the low respawn rate of the enemies. I had to change my graphics quality to medium in the game settings due to it crashing, even with my graphics card and processor being top line quality. What can really make this game worth the buck is having a reward system with its weapon choices. Start off with a bat, then after a couple kills is when you are given a better weapon, such as a pistol then to shotgun but take off the option of having 2 weapons at once since you have the nail gun for the boards and it will increase the suspense and skill to move around the cabin and boarding the doors. One more thing that might be interes...

A solid start for an early access game! It’s scary, fun, and the atmosphere really pushes that vibe. Has some bugs, and glitches but nothing that’s not expected for an early access title. I really want to play the story mode, but I guess that will come in a future update. I just want more! I think adding a more indepth tutorial would be helpful. I didn't realize I could use my belt to attach guns to until a few minutes in. After I realized this I was zipping around and barricading doors like a madwoman! Would recommend for an early access game. Looking forward to the story mode!

Update 13 Sept 2018 The addition of smooth turning is a most welcome addition, Thank you. With smooth turning included, the base gameplay is much easier to manage (I don't get the cord wrapped around my feet nearly as much), and makes the ability to start enjoying what the game has to offer happen. The size of the shed I'm boarded up needs to be increased (once they break in, it is 'do or die', almost no chance of running, or the opportunity to fend them off), or allowing you to go outside without the monsters being on top of you very quickly. Having one of the monsters go into a Predator-type mode (slowly hunting you down) might be a fun idea for consideration. Smooth turning, however, seems to have some judder/stutter when I turn. Not enough to destroy gameplay, but enough to notice (and slightly break the immersion). The smooth turning addition is enough for me to start enjoying the game, and for that, I can now give the game a thumbs up. ========================================...

I was expecting something akin to a CoD Zombies game, and while the game sort of delivered, it just feels unfinished. It's less of a "kill-until-your-last-breath" game and more of a "kill-until-the-guy-on-the-radio-says-you-can-leave" sort of game. That's totally fine, but there's just not much content and it feels like the dev did the classic steam cliche of leaving an EA game in EA. I hope that someday they return to finish the game, and if they do, I will change my review accordingly.
