It's an obvious mobile port, but it's still quite fun. The graphics are cute and not overdone. The quiet piano soundtrack lends an air of serenity about things which can be quite misleading as you fly into a rage after missing that just jump for the tenth time.

About This Game

On day 200 of a 365 day mission your ship suffers a catastrophic engine meltdown. Stranded in space one hundred light years from Earth, you must make your way back one light year at a time. It's going to be a long way home.
Jumping from asteroid to asteroid collecting enough dark matter to open the next portal is hard enough, even the tiniest miscalculation can end in death. When you start encountering explosive rocks, micro-comets and teleporting dark matter, things take a turn for the worse.

Yes, this game started out on the iPad. The original game was a 1024x768 touch only game. In preparing for it's move to Steam the entire game was redesigned. Every piece of artwork was recreated at a higher resolution, the game was converted to widescreen, sound effects were re-recorded and the entire menu system was overhauled. boring and repetetive, just good for achievement farmers
A very simple game. Nice soundtrack tho.
"BOGGED DOWN" "BOGGED DOWN" "BOGGED DOWN" "BOGGED DOWN" "BOGGED DOWN" fix this
A Long Way Home is a highly entertaining platformer game with a number of fun, quirky suprises. Although it is a short game to play, the many different puzzles are challenging enough to keep your interest through a number of playthroughs. Highly recommended; I'd give it an 8/10 rating, as there is at least one bug related to achievements that I encountered.
a great little game for short periods. more than that and it gets boring and repetitive.
An entertaining game, definitely recommand it!
Really fun gravity based game. The goal is to time jumps between asteroids, gathering collectibles as you do. Cute artwork and a decent little story. An enjoyable time to be sure. Just a shame we've seen no more from Jonathan Mulcahy since this one.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could pla...
