About the Game

RAM BOE is a witty puzzle game inspired by the classic Sokoban, but with a twist. Instead of having to position blocks in different marked places, here you have to combine them and place them all in the mystical well of revival to free the souls trapped inside. That idea set it up for some really mind-boggling puzzles.

FEATURES

  • a cute and fuzzy ram as the main character
  • 70 levels of brain-bending puzzling action
  • cartoonish graphics
  • did I mention we have a cute ram? I did?
  • achievements, badges and trading cards
  • keyboard/gamepad friendly controls
  • a level editor connected with steam workshop so you can build/share levels
  • handpicked background songs from the famous Kevin Macleod

CHARACTER

Meet Boe the Ram, his full name is Beauregard Pete, but we use Boe out of commodity. He wasn't always a ram, he used to be an adventurer, he loved to climb mountains and hug trees. It all took a turn for the worse when he heard about this ice demon terrorizing the mountain tops. He went to slay it, but he was no match. His soul was forced into a rune stone by the jotun and after struggling for a while, he escaped and possessed a ram. That's how RAM BOE was born: one part man, one part wool, one part horns and a lot of parts cuddly.

THE TEAM

Greetings, we are a small group of friends that love video games. So we thought "hey, why not learn how to make video games" and so here we are. The team is composed of five people, hence the name of the team. This is our first attempt at a computer game and we are thrilled that we received so much attention and we promise to keep surpassing our limits in game-making.

THANK YOU

We thank each and every one of you, our voters, our commentators, our players, even you, the guy reading this right now! All that hard work and sweat can't compare with the moment you have the game finished and people are making a hype over it. We had a lot of fun making it and we hope you will enjoy playing it.

A very basic puzzle game with nice graphics and sound. I would have preferred a much simpler version that didn't require me to wait ages for the ram to move around. I think 90% of my time was spent just waiting for the bastard to move!

Cute puzzle game with nice animations and music. It's not too challenging but it makes you think. I'd love to recommend it but the camera angles and long animation times hamper what would otherwise be a great puzzle game.

I just played the game. It's quite cool and catchy. It reminds me about a very old game played on my first computer, a 486, on windows 3.1 - Chips. A game from Wingames bundle. This time, well we have 3D, nice music and graphics and ingenious level designs. Awesome! I do recommend it. Notes: 1) Pay attention to the Tip screens - you may find out useful tips. 2) The game may require some updates. I had to use my Enter key from the numeric keypad, instead of the "Return" one. Question for develpers: can you please decrease the animation time on PC? The animation takes too long.. Sometimes I have the feeling that the animations are slowing me down and I feel like I loose precious seconds... Thank you!

RAM BOE is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. The mobile app is, even as the developers admit themselves, a ripoff of Sokoban, but with some cartoony low poly graphics and instead of a pixel dude it's a sheep that pushes the boxes. So basically this is the same game that you can play for free in a web browser, only the "developers" want your money because they dumped a crap mobile app on Steam. The absolute state of amateur "indie" game developers, right here. On the upside you can change the resolution for the game, but apart from that lofty technical high, it's all downhill, and sharply. From a technical perspective, as a mobile app, this doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The mobile app features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the mid 2000s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able t...

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was really hoping this would be a fun game and I would gladly give it a thumbs up IF THERE WAS A RELAXED OPTION (preferably no time or at the very least much more time than is currently given on each level). But the times are way to restrictive to get the levels done without hurrying to do it which is not fun for me. Sorry, devs! I also didn't like that I had to restart the game to get the Steam achievements earned on the previous start. UPDATE: Timer was removed (+) but the mouse was also removed (-) which makes gameplay totally with the keyboard a pain! Sorry, still a negative review.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could pla...

This is a genuinely lovely game! If you like casual puzzle games, this is a nice way to pass the time. The music and graphics are well done, and Ram Boe himself is super cute! It has a sweet retro feel to it too; classic gameplay at heart. Just watch the cliffs, I walked off so many times already!! A+
