About This Game

Super Rude Bear Resurrection is an ultra-tight, masocore platformer that anyone can beat! Every time you die, your previous corpses stack up and you can jump on them, push them around and use them as platforms or meatshields. Each death makes the game slightly easier, but it's possible to beat the whole game without dying at all!

Rude Bear is a gangsta bear from East London who's been summoned back in time to medieval England to defeat his mortal nemesis, The Wizard. Face challenges so lethal, you'll (probably) need to be resurrected thousands of times to stand any chance of winning, and defeat the fearsome Guardians of each world.

Features:

  • Sightseeing - Run, jump and die your way through sprawling levels, facing fiendish challenges across seven diverse worlds, from ancient ruins to convulsing flesh dungeons.
  • Unlimited Rudeness – Enjoy an incredible 73 song Grime soundtrack by Deeco – with a unique track in every level.
  • Super Streamable – Twitch Mode lets your viewers affect the gameplay, spam emotes onto your screen and talk through your Fairy companion.
  • Gotta Go Fast – Built from the ground up with speedrunners in mind. From ghosts and quick menus, to slow-mo Practice Mode and RNG toggle.
  • Rampant Replayablity – Discover Bonus levels, unlock absurdly difficult achievements, and beat your friends' scores in Marathon Mode (including Boss Rush!)
  • Insanely Tough – Crank the difficulty even higher by turning off corpses and checkpoints, or take on the ultimate challenge and try to beat the entire game with just one life.

This game is really fun and the music is great. Total adrenaline rush. Unfortunately the controls are very loose, so you end up dying frequently in situations where otherwise you wouldn't have. Maybe that is a design choice and if that's the case it is a poor one. If you don't mind sloppy controls, knock yourself out, you'll love it.

I really enjoy the corpse mechanic in this game, because I am epically bad at platformers. It helps to make the game a little more accesible to me (though it's still incredibly challenging). The art is great, and I love the little dialogues. When I saw all the corpses I used in the first level piling up, I realized I will never ever ever beat this game, but that's ok, I'll keep trying. Some day maybe I'll be able to beat level one without corpses. Great game, would reccomend, especially if you're looking for a challenge.

If you like hard as nails platformers, fucking awesome music, amazing graphics and gameplay that's solid then this is the game for you! Just don't ask for a refund when you punch out your monitor 'cause you've died like a gazillion times :P

Great game, good and interesting mechanics and a very solid implemntation on the platforming side. The game is hard but the challenge is worth it. A unique theme and setting which you don'y see often nowadays. It's unique mechanic is that you can use the corpses to progress through the levels. It's interesting and if you place them juuuust right it can make your life so much easier for you. Is it fun ? Yes , yes it is. Should you BUY it? Yes, it's well put together and it's good fun if you are into platformers and want to play something with a different aesthetic to the ususal.

Challenging but also balancing platformer game, you play as Rude Bear and you must get through obstacles all the way to the finish. Whats challenging is the obstacles you'll have to go through, especially traps and face bosses each final level. What makes the game balancing is your death makes the gameplay more easier because you can use your corpse in various ways. Whether by using it as a shield against projectiles or use against needles to prevent getting killed again. It should be noted that Rude Bear isnt a fighter, so its mostly dodging when it comes to boss fights and using something that can harm them. As for the soundtrack some people pointed out, its not that good in my opinion. Probably the only good music was Wasteman's music out of all of them but thats pretty much it. I tend to not pay attention to most of the soundtracks and focus on beating anyways. But aside from that, its overall a good game to try.

Makes me want to commit war crimes, but keeps me playing with its fuckin awesome mechanics and wack-ass storyline, plus the achievements that, along with the sick soundtrack and a really cool dev that responded to my dumb ass within 15 minutes at 2am with an answer to my question along with many relevant examples showcasing both the answer he provided and just how bad I am at the game. 10/10 would rage at a bear wearing a backwards hat again

This is the second copy I've bought of this game (first copy on PS4, #completed), which I grabbed for twitch mode while I'm streaming. It's a super tight platformer, balls to the walls hard, but the main reason I love it is that it feel really good when you get into "flow". Once you've learnt a leve, there's an old school sonic-like rhythm to your jumps and moves. I will admit I doubt this game's for everyone but if you're into speedrunnning, you'll love it.

Absolutely brilliant platformer with oceans of character and humour, as well as a mechanic making it possible to leave corpses behind in order to make certain hazards easier to cross. Easy controls, loads of challenge and a fantastic soundtrack give this title heaps of charm. The art style is of high quality and still unique, with every new element seeming to fit with ease. Definately one you'll have to sink a bit of time into but much like any high skill ceiling game, the fun is in this learning. Definitely would recommend.
