Fallstreak 2: Traum

The deceptively titled third Fallstreak game, Fallstreak 2 Traum has finally come out and it's just as good as I had hoped. Starts at a breakneck pace which felt a tiny bit off to me, but once it gets rolling properly it's somehow massively better than the already really good prior two games. Given the original Fallstreak is free I'd strongly urge giving it a shot to get a taste of what Centi is capable of. And keeping in mind that this one is superior. Strong recommend naturally.

As much as I feared that Traum won't even deliver half of the emotions the first game provided, not only this was not the case; the long-awaited sequel went even further, adding epic component to the classic Fallstreak mix of gruesome tragedy and dreamlike coziness. Moreover, the author finally found the point of balance in their writing, so that neither more it wanders into sophisticated thickets, nor it mercilessly oppressing a reader with heart-rending nakige passages in vein of Requiem. If I had to describe the feeling Traum invokes, the word "nostalgic" would probably do the best. Characters losing something precious at the beginning, but find something new at the end, a newfound home gives way to a new loss, so that Ade and those she holds dear can move forward. On that topic, the game finally reveals some of the mysteries surrounding Adelise and Socotrine, but also adding some new ones about Fallstreak metaverse. An excellent dark fantasy vn with surprising amount of comedy. if you enjoyed the first 2 fallstreak games, I don't see any reasons to not get this one. I liked the new characters more than the old ones.
