It's not a *terrible* game, by any means. And you can definitely feel Amaranth's influence in it. But alas, it is also not a *great* game. Stargazer offers a pretty standard JRPG experience. The story is nice, albeit not the most gripping at times, and the gameplay is pretty run-of-the-mill. The meteor system to unlock new abilities is neat, but combat overall feels wildly imbalanced (with levels seeming to matter a lot less than gear, and random difficulty spikes). Not a bad game for the price, but not a favourite either.
