About the Game

Multiple updates, over 7 levels, over a dozen new guardians, new player abilities, and tons of fixes and updates since our launch on April 30th! Check out our announcements for more details!

Defend the world of Dalifor, a land forever changed by the forces of Chaos! You are a Luminary, a schooled defender of Order. The strength of your personality manifests through special cards, from which you summon magical creatures. These Soul Guardians are ready to fight the Corruptors who aim to destroy the world you hold dear!

Collect and craft cards, train your Guardians, and experience the story of Soul Locus: Cards of Order!

Soul Locus: Cards of Order is a collectible creature tower defense game. Dozens of levels and over 80 Guardians will be available at final release, paired with a rich RPG storyline that takes you through the floating continents of Dalifor. Each Guardian corresponds to one of six types of Soul Locus that define its strategic use in game. Build a team you design, and level up your Guardians how you choose. Each is customizable!

Crafting is a key component in collecting all of the Guardians available in the game. Crafting materials will be obtained through quests, at the end of battles or by breaking down other cards. Combining materials lets you discover new recipes for Guardians!

Soul Locus: Cards of Order is the first chapter in a story that spans a world changing timeline for the land of Dalifor. You will meet Chip and Victoria, two fellow students who accompany you on your quest to defend against the Corruptors. Embark on a journey to restore order in the land of Dalifor!

Our team is made up of industry veterans with over 50 years of combined experience. Members of the team have participated in titles from Bejeweled to Bioshock 2 and worked for companies such as 2K, EA, Microsoft, and Popcap. We all grew up playing games filled with exciting worlds and fantastic creatures. Soul Locus is our chance to make one of our own for players to enjoy.

Game still in EA. No update in over a year. Developer has not been seen on discussion boards. Game appears abandoned. Cannot recommend.

The game has a cutsey sort of art style not usually seen in tower defense games, but don't let that deter you. There are real decisions to be made in determining which guardians to take with you into a level, where to place them, and how to spend your limited upgrade points. I'm not usually one for crafting in games, but I find I don't mind it in this game. You collect crafting materials each time you complete a level. It gives you an excuse to replay old levels using new strategies and still feel like you are making progress in the game. Some of the initial reviews talk about a lack of content, but that's no longer the case. With early access updates they've added enough content to make it plenty worth the asking price at this point.

Nice little game for a few hours of quick fun. Sadly just for a few hours and time until you get a challenge with each new map goes by very quickly. It's a game for the casual gamer that also enjoys browser game and sorts - it very much reminds me of the looks, too. Since the game is feeling very "small" it's hard to notice that it seems abandoned by its developers. If this was a serious attempt of making a good game it should be developed faster/constantly. At this stage one can play one region of little challanges - already some bugs there that can hang up the game in a screen where you want to enter a village to trade some stuff... Another reagion of little challenges follows ontop of the first but sadly I couldnt get it to run properly without hanging up the game in a state where I have still this nicely colored game somehow running - but no clue where to click at, so it's bugged.. After all if the game was just 1-2 bucks it'd be a nice little game for a quick "install-play two ...

I really enjoy this game. I'm not even usually a huge tower defense fan, but I'm hooked on this one. The graphics are phenomenal and the play is just downright fun. Without a doubt I am a fan! I'd suggest giving Soul Locus a try. You won't be disappointed! It's both easy to get the hang out, yet it always presents an enjoyable challenge.

This game is super addicting! I got it two days ago and I've already clocked over seven hours. I only have a couple of gripes with it, but they don't ruin the experience for me. -The only window size available for windowed mode (at least for me) is one that still takes up my whole screen anyway, so either I can't see my desktop toolbar or I can't see how much Focus I've built up -There isn't a lot to do once you've beaten the five main levels twice. I've spent the majority of my time grinding in Survival Mode But like I said, those don't ruin the experience for me in the slightest. Great graphics, fun mechanics, and I can't wait for the full release!

I am really digging this game! Right now there is not a large amount of content, which is expected in an early access game. However, what is available is polished and super addicting. There are many more things to come and I cannot wait. The artstyle is cute and enjoyable, mechanics are pretty cool so far, and overall it is a very solid game. Im ready to see how crafting and quests are implemented! If you like Tower defence, collectible cards, pokemon, or progression focused games, you will want to pick this one up. I give it an easy 9/10. On final release im sure I will lose some sleep.

Interesting and fun take on tower defense. I particularly like the sense of progression and character as you improve your guardians.
