Dead game. Shouldn't even be a game, just a tech demo. I just want to explore the wreck freely, with different lighting options such as daylight & realistic pitch-blackness. I can't take the time limit, the constant sonar pinging sound, and piloting an elephant-sized toaster. Hasn't been an update in a very long time. Discussions forum is completely dead. The roadmap that was posted is full of things that no one even wants. The game was made by people who have never been in the same room with a console, like my grandma. She thinks games all still look like Pong & you collect points. Please, Magellan... unlock this game and give us more options. People who buy this game just want to explore the wreck. We don't want time limits or objectives. Thank you for doing these scans, but I want to explore them with 100% resolution in it's true pitch-black environment.

Please, read my review for a FULL and HONEST opinion of the overrall experience before playing. I am aware this is an early access game and my review will also include SUGGESTIONS for the devs. There are two missions: BOW and STERN where you need to discover some pieces from the wreck (Anchor, grand staircase, life boat davit, etc). I did them all in an hour. Pros: - An amazing experience to visit the REAL shipwreck in 3D scans. - Very interesting description of the artefacts we scan with the robots. - Great graphics and audio - Can change the camera POV of the robots Cons: - Empty starting menu. No settings in there until the game starts. - No language options - The difficulties are named: Realistic, Moderate and Easy but it is only how DARK we can see. The gameplay does not change beside having more time to find the artefacts. - There are like 12 artefacts to scan only splitted in 2 missions. - The sonar scan is useless. For the future updates, I would add WAY more missions ...
Recently found out about vROV Pilot and sat down with it last night. I understand it’s still early access and basically unfinished, but have some thoughts about the experience. First of all, the idea of taking the real life scans of the wreck and placing them in Unreal engine as a playable experience is fantastic. The first time you come up on the bow section in first person really does give you chills. I also don’t mind the interiors not being modeled in any way since that’s not what the experience is about. I do think calling it a “game” is a stretch, though. It’s definitely more of an slightly interactive 3D model then a game, and over my four sessions last night, I found the timer to be a completely arbitrary restriction. I would be looking for something to scan, get distracted taking in the detail of the wreck or a specific part, and then have to stop so that the timer didn’t run out before I scanned everything. I realize a “free play” is available after the mis...
Not much of a gamer but I am a huge Titanic fan. This game allows one to really explore and learn about the ship in great detail. Great for those who are not looking for the latest and greatest first person shoot out style game.
