Queen of treasure isle

The pixel art is fantastic, showing how much care and effort went into it. It’s been a long time since I’ve played a game with animation this smooth. I was also impressed by the attempt to use a language-free, intuitive interface—it really stood out. However, the poor controls undermine all of this. For example, performing a double jump requires pressing the jump key and then the downward throw key, which often leads to mistakes—pressing the down key by accident, forgetting to press the throw key, and ending up falling. Why not make the double jump work with a simple second press of the jump button, like in many other games? The rocket jump is similarly more complicated than it needs to be. Lastly, in a platformer, there should be a clear distinction between platforms and non-platform surfaces, but here that clarity is lacking, which is another letdown.

This game has fantastic pixel art, various beautiful areas full of secrets to explore, and large number of fun gameplay mechanics. Music is kinda lacking but this is early access game so I can't complain... yet! I have to admit I didn't like the game at first, the game feel sluggish at the beginning since there's a lack of things you can do, most of the time you just walk around, collect treasures, which is nice but then you get disappointed that they didn't give you any special abilities. Until you find the black treasures, where they do in fact give you new abilities, oh boy that's where the game starts to pick up the pace and becomes fun. It's a lot easier to go about places. and I started to enjoy finding secrets and hidden treasures in the game, I have a good time exploring and feeling great about myself for finding secrets all on my own.
