Game is dead no matter what devs say. No updates oin over a year, just periodic posts to the effect of "We really want to work on this but... but... but..." excuse after excuse. They are basically just stringing along the community for some unknown reason. Dead. Dead. Did I mention dead?

About This Game
Follow the Indie RPG Spirit in Search of The Memory of Eldurim
You know the feeling of setting sail beyond the edge of the map, beyond the boundaries of knowledge? So do we. One reason we love video games is that they offer fresh lands to discover.Discover a new world, its adventures, and its haunting story as you play The Memory of Eldurim. As Liminal Games, an indie studio, we make games specifically for people with their own indie spirit.
People like you--those who long to discover.
Cash in your creativity. Fighting isn’t so much spam-clicking. It’s more of a dance. You will need to recognize openings and to strike in particular ways. You have to think to fight. At least, if you want to win.
Shape a civilization. Save a town from eradication--or eradicate one yourself. Purge a city of thieves--or foment anarchy through political assassinations. Lead or abandon an exodus. Fund a town hall, troubadour’s guild, refugee district...or buy your own estate. Cultivate alliances...or the opposite.
Change the game through the forums. We listen to your input because we believe that you, like us, deserve to be heard. One day, you might tell your friends about how your comment changed the magic system. As proof, you might show them the relic you received in thanks. A communal development strategy should be exciting for all.
Explore an expansive and intricate world. The CRYENGINE makes for some stunning visual scenes. Experience them through your travels across this new world--its sleepy forests, blistering deserts, glittering tundra, submarine ruins, and more.
Seek the Memory of Eldurim. Everyone is missing something, but most cannot remember what it is. It is their only hope against darkness. Seek the Tree of Light on your quest to save the world, rule it, or destroy it.
Count on RPG essentials. We didn’t discard the strengths of the Open World, RPG genre, we simply took them as our starting point. The vision detailed above (that you can add to on the forums) stands on solid RPG essentials. For example, of course your character can level up, but not through a cliche system.

20 euros paid, now its out for 1 euro and still unfinished garbage, what a time to be alive.
Pretty nice visuals/graphics, combat system is pretty good, but there hasn't been an update to progress for this game for about 7 months now and that makes me wonder if I bought a 1% made game that will never get worked on.
From the forums " ekcell [developer] Apr 8 @ 7:24pm 2018 FAQ My dudes, I realize there's still lots of folks here asking questions so I thought I'd try to give some answers. Is this game dead? As should be obvious from the date of the last update, this game isn't actively being developed. hat happened? We had to get other jobs as we weren't making enough money from the game to pay ourselves anything. Develop on the side? Unfortunately, I was the only one interested in continuing and I couldn't do much alone. Will you ever revive the game? I personally would love to do it! But I don't forsee it happening in the near future. Why did you lower the game to $0.99? Since the game isn't being developed I felt it was no longer worth charging $20. I paid the full price and I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥!?!? I can't do much about that. My only consulation for you is that we have the data for which steam accounts paid full price, and if it ever became possible to somehow compensate those who pa...
I wish there were a "Not right now" option for recommending a game, espeically with all these early access games, but for now I will just say I do not recommend this game. Don't get me wrong, it has a TON of potential. I can really see where the game could go...in a few years. Which is exactly the problem. It will take quite a long time for this game to really reach its potential. I say give it a year at least, maybe two and see how things are then. I know it's early access, but I didn't realize it was quite this early. I would almost not call this game in an alpha state just yet. It is more like a pre-alpha, behind closed doors only test phase in its current form. For me it was just too early access. The good: The enviornemtns look awesome. They are creative, varied and make you want to just explore around, since it's an open world you can definitely do just that. The combat has a decent start. It has a sort of Dark Souls vibe with how attacks work and change with each weapon you u...
this game hasn't put out an update in nearly a year. i'm pretty sure it's another dead early access title on steam. i wish there was a way for the community to petition steam to remove scam games like this.
Obviously in an early alpha state, but lots of promise here. Looking forward to seeing further development, and hopefully increased focus on 1st person mode.
An Early Access Pre Alpha Game!!! That being said if you love Elder Scrolls especially Skyrim and can't wait for an Elder Scrolls VI (not ESOnline, and actual ES6) and if you have the time and patience to help these guys develop a really nice game with a huge amount of potential then defenitely get this game. I've only been playing a little bit, and have already noticed a bug or 2 and had a crash, but I do really like this game and the potential it has. As I said before, this game can be truly awesome. Please, if you have the time and patience help this game to reach it's true potential buy buying and playing it.
If this game is ever finished, I will change my review, but as others have said, it hasn't been updated in over a year and is barely beyond the starting point. It has a lot of potential and I enjoyed exploring and testing it out for a few hours. The graphics are great, the controller support appreciated, and the possibilities seemed endless. At this point, however, 3+ years after its release, I think everyone who paid for it should be refunded. We paid in good faith to support a developing game with the assurance that we'd eventually get a complete game. That is simply not the case here, unfortunately. 10/10 dashed hopes. 1/10 completeness.
Athough this Open World game is Early Access and in only in Pre-Alpha, you can still have a lot of fun with it. The Devs are hot on combat mechanics and you have to earn your kills, not only by moves but also knowledge of which particular weapon and weapon spells work best against each enemy type. You play either in 1st ot 3rd person, changeable at the scroll of your mouse wheel, I find fighting easier in 3rd person with this game. There is very little "hand-holding" and you have to find out a lot of stuff by yourself, or cheat and go on the forums if you are really stuck. Currently only one very large Island is available but it gives a good few hours of gameplay. The graphics are pretty good and slated to get better, something I really like to hear. Crafting is high on the list for future Updates as is mining. Check out the Liminal Games site for more info.
