EDIT: There's one thing I forgot to mention. The sound effects for walking around are loud as fuck, so I implore people to lower down the SE setting. Especially if you're wearing headphones.

This game is pretty much an homage to 90's horror games like Resident Evil but it's an RPGMaker game, so it's going to be very janky in its execution. The gameplay is fine. I appreciate that even though the combat is a pure turn-based system and there's random encounters, it incorporates resource management so well that it feels like the horror games it's trying to emulate. While you can level up in this game, it's encouraged to run away if you're running low on ammo. The campy dialogue can be charming at times but I feel it can be eye-rolling for a bunch of people. My only gripe with it is the protag moves like a slug, even when he isn't doing parkour. About This Game
A time travel breakthrough at Waldorp-Verr Aerospace Corporation has come under scrutiny from the US Government. An investigative audit goes wrong and the research facility is flooded by a prehistoric lake!
You play as Craig O'Dell, a member of a covert group tasked with rescuing the only scientist who understands how the time portal works!
Primal Rift is a turn-based, single-character RPG set in a flooded research facility.
Note from the Developer:
I set out to make a classic solo-character console-style RPG similar to the original Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest with a few fun twists and no filler. Instead of rescuing a princess in a tower, you will be saving a scientist trapped in a research facility. Instead of swords and magic, you will be using knives and guns. The game also takes place in one large interconnected "dungeon" as opposed to multiple towns and dungeons.

Meet fascinating prehistoric creatures!
Make tough life-or-death decisions.
Wield an arsenal of weapons such as knives, SMGs, rifles, and more.
Climb, swim, jump and most importantly fight for your life!
Tons of secrets to discover!
