About This Game

THE BEGINNINGS OF WAR

An age of peace for the Nomis Galaxy has come to an end.

The year is 5494. A terrorist bombing has occurred on Korva, the capital planet of The Red Zone. This attack has resulted in the loss of countless innocent Korvan lives. Evidence from the investigations has linked the cause of the attack to a Skyddan cargo ship from The Green Zone. When confronted with the evidence, the Skyddan Government denied any involvement.

An answer that the people of Korva refuse to accept.

As Champion of The Red Zone, you will lead the assault on The Green Zone and deliver righteous justice in the name of your home.

STORY MODE

Experience a cinematic campaign that will have you fighting across all corners of the Nomis Galaxy. Featuring 9 unique missions that can be selected from the Galaxy Map at any time. Making Story Mode the perfect option for both newcomers and veterans. However, if you want the full context of the story, you will want to start from the beginning.

ARCADE MODE

Looking for that classic Shoot 'Em Up experience? Arcade Mode removes all dialogue sequences from the game, allowing you to focus on the action and getting a high score without having to worry about the story. Health pickups are less frequent, and all missions must be completed in one sitting. Arcade Mode is accessible from the Galaxy Map from the beginning, so players can jump in at any time.

I've waited 12 Years to play this... I cant believe this is the first game by this dev... I think it is an excellent effort!! I played story mode first, and REALLY enjoyed it! was a fun story with some really cool set pieces. The choreography of the game through the story and the boss designs take the cake here, the music choices are perfect and fit with the game really well. The stage designs are really smooth too, and something you dont see too often in indies any more which tend to go straight to bullet hell. The game is also very fair too, I was able to 1CC Story mode my first try, and then Arcade mode thereafter but I didnt score enough to trigger the Arcade TLB :O. This makes the game excellent for shmup beginners as it is engaging and exciting without being overly difficult, and even though there is dialogue, the pacing seems fun too. Modes and controls are simple and perfect - just go buy this, support indie shmups!!!

A fun little jaunt through a bit of a cerebral SciFi experience. I wasn't able to 1CC this on the first try, but I was able to beat the game and experience the story, environments, and characters. Nice little touches and attention to detail made for a fun experience that doesn't overstay its welcome. I did a Let's Play here with commentary for anyone that wants to see more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biwAWko_flI

Honestly this was a blast, the storytelling and characters portrayed throughout the game are full of emotion and weave an interesting narrative. The gameplay is fast, fun and straight to the point with a nice variety of different enemies and unique boss fights. For anyone who loves a classic shoot em up this is a great experience and a super easy recommendation! Fight on Champions!!!

Certainly worth the price, even if you only intend to play it through a single time (takes about an hour). The pixel graphics and simple, colourful style are a treat to look at. The variety on display is impressive both in terms of level design and visuals. Moment-to-moment gameplay feels very satisfying, although it will be a bit easy to veterans of the genre. I don't feel like there's much replay value, and the gameplay systems and structure are extremely bare-bones. However, I blame that more on the limitations of the engine than on any design flaws. Again, for the price, it's a well-crafted and enjoyable experience.

a story that's kind of a nothingburger, trying to allude to things and be interesting but without an initial hook to draw someone in. a difficulty that's overall very low and has bizarrely placed peaks and valleys and tons of dead air. no deep scoring system to optimize and no unique mechanics. i liked it. won't play it ever again, but i liked it.

An unusually cinematic narrative-heavy shmup. The gameplay is pretty basic, the art style is uncommon but nothing fancy, and the control really doesn't feel good, but it's an unusual take on shmup with interesting story-presentation and good use of epic (free) orchestral music that for some reason isn't commonly used in shmup. It's recommended simply on the novelty experience.
