Reminiscent of LISA and Hylics, but with an alcoholic Hungarian knight
little known fact, but this game actually takes place in modern day slovakia. the country just looks like that these days

The only gripe I have with this game is the lacklustre, downright disappointing ending. The rest of the game is full of charm wrapped in a uniquely eastern european aesthetic. The art and music perfectly compliment the story and setting. Gameplay is quick and fun.

Coming from finding this game completely at random on sale (and having never heard of it before) I bought it the moment I finished watching the trailer. The art style was the first thing that piqued my interest: sudden bursts of 3D animated cinematics against a world that, while small in scale, simulates itself as vast once you’re inside it. But what truly cemented my decision to finish it was the story. You play as a love-drunk knight Pali, serving the lord that rules over the Felvidék of medieval Slovakian lands, with nothing filling his heart but sorrow over his wife’s absence. That sorrow is abruptly shattered when the silence of the night is broken by the explosions of a nearby castle. Shocked, the knight makes his way to his lord to report what he just witnessed — and from there, the journey begins. The game also shines in its comedic dialogue and bizarre situations.
