This game's concept is truly good; using tools to find evidence, attack the ghost with your weapon so that it does not interrupt you, finding totems and finally, facing the ghost itself. As someone who's been waiting for this game's release, I must admit I am disappointed. This game does have potential to become a really good one, but so far, it's still disappointing. Pros: + Ghost hunting game, with a few unique elements to it. + 'Jump-Scares' that will possibly catch you off guard. + There are classes with unique abilities, however you will have to level up to unlock their potential. + Maps that are not in many games (I personally have not seen them in any ghost hunting related game) + You have a cute doggo that you can actually pet by pressing F, IF it's not running away from you. Cons: - There are 3 slots available (1-3) where the 2nd slot is for your weapon, you can grab up to 2 items but they will be in 1 slot (1st) and you will either have to use your mous...

I've played over 70 hours of the game so far, and I LOVE this game, Hours go fast and you don't feel like you are playing for that long. THIS IS NOT A PHASMO CLONE SO DO NOT EXPECT PHASMO TYPE GAME PLAY. This game is fast paced, you shoot the entities as part of the 'untethering' phase, you never know where the entity is coming from and the investigation phase is also fast paced. Right now there are several levels of game play, Novice, where you get a taste of the game but it is slower, not as hard hitting and you can take safety in the equipment room, Normal, where they will come and slap you about the place should they wish, hit you normally and can be beaten quite fairly, Expert where they hit a bit harder, are a bit harder to fight and figure out and Hysteria where they can absolutely murder you. The more people in your team, the more scaling there is, this means that the entity is a little harder. Game play wise this is fast paced on going and you can't stand still. You have to ...
As of right now I don't recommend it, I find that trying to join lobbies is impossible to do and it wont actually connect. I find solo to be a terrible experience because the phantom aggros you without really any reprieve even on the lowest difficulty. And that game is online only with no offline mode so if the servers ever go down this game is done.
Already completely dead and seems to be abandoned. Very cool
Played for the first time the other night and went through four or so matches. We have put a lot of hours into Phasmaphobia and this is definitely in that game style, but even with some of the rough edges of a brand new game, we found a lot to love about this experience and what set it apart. The pacing in this game is significantly better. I think Phas does a good job of building some tension for the actual haunt events, and I like the atmosphere of some of the levels and how that plays in. But the first five minutes or so of Phasmaphobia are painfully slow, asking questions in the spirit box or trying to find the cold room. There is some time gating to it that makes that even more frustrating. Not an issue really in Phantom Hysteria, where the greater number of clues that will need to be found per ghost means you can get right into it. There is no need to time gate things. This makes you feel like you are constantly moving towards your goal and time doesn't feel wasted. Everyone h...
As someone who normally doesn’t like ghost hunter games, this game is amazing! The developers are approachable and diligent in fixing reported bug and glitches. The gameplay is enthralling, the player models have depth and character, and the phantoms are absolutely beautiful and to a degree terrifying. Each phantom has a unique set of abilities and attack patterns. Yeah, matchmaking is slow right now but that’s understandable as the game just released, but playing with friends or joining the PH community gives you ample opportunity to play with others, or if all else fails solo play is both challenging and rewarding. All in all a great game that will get even better over time.
So I played a few games (died most of the time) and I'm really suprised! This game is a nice change in the ghost hunting genre. I had a great time! Would recommend it to the people that like ghost hunting games but also love some action segments.
I am absolutely obsessed with this game! This is my most played game by far even though it just came out in October of this year. I've played 270 hours of Phantom Hysteria to date, while I've played 191 hours of my second most played game which is 7 Days to Die (which I've had for years). I've actually played it for over 24 hours straight on a couple occasions. Many compare it to Phasmophobia, but to me the only common ground they share is that you hunt ghosts/phantoms and use some of the same equipment. That's where the similarities stop to me. Phantom Hysteria is more fast paced than Phas, and you actually get to defend yourself and then banish the phantom!!! It's not a game where if the ghost gets to you you're instantly dead, which I love. I'm not a fan of the one hit kills, especially when I can't defend myself. So much love and attention goes into absolutely everything. Every playable character, phantom, and location has lore which to me adds to the immersion. Plus there are ea...
First let me say that this game is not a Phasmophobia copy and you shouldn't expect a game like it. Many games when released to early access are super buggy and often unplayable. Phantom Hysteria is not one of those games. The game works extremely well, and the bugs are minimal and none really effected the game play. There is a learning curve to the game, as well as strategy that you need to adopt. Once you learn how to play and the layout of the maps the game becomes easier. I like how there is a character progression to the game as well as traits for classes, and the cards allow for unique experiences for everyone. The game is fun, challenging, and fast paced, and at time intense. Phantom Hysteria has managed to combine a shooter and a ghost hunter game and hit it out of the park. The only down side to the game is that there is limited maps and ghosts. But Since as of this 10-14-2022 its only been out a few days. This game has the potential to take over as the King of ghost hu...
