Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story™

The game is much more frustrating than rewarding. Once you start the game, the very first thing you should do is to adjust latency in the settings, it matters a lot. However, once you get used to it, it might be a good game for you. Even by looking at the achievements you can see a steep drop off of players, as only a third of them reached the very first boss fight. While the game was not for me, even if I have a good sense of rhythm, I was relying too much on the visuals that were too chaotic for my eyes, and could not identify the leading notes to reliably ignore it. It might be a personal thing, but if you are accomodated in rhythm games, you can give it a try since the price is reasonable. However, do not make this your first rhythm game as I did, even if you like League of Legends.

Love rhythm games, but definitely not this one. The songs all sound pretty much the same, and the levels look almost identical. You get prompts to complete the levels (like in most rhythm games), but you also need to go out of your way to pick up other collectibles. A huge plus is that even if you succeed in doing that, you’ll still stay on beat with the song — just not following the intended path. All in all, the game isn’t bad; it’s just a bit too cumbersome and lacks variety.
