About This Game

Following the success of our location-based multi-player experience, Incarna Adventures, we are proud to announce the release of our first single-player game based in the storyworld of Incarna, R-AI-D.

Incarna is a secret organization that has discovered the existence of another world, that of a multidimensional parallel universe linked to ours. It has developed a technology that allows us to perceive and interact with this new world via, among others, a Virtual Reality interface. In order to explore the interdimensional network of worlds, Incarna has been sending new recruits to boot camp in the Training Temple, which is managed by SENS, the same powerful AI that oversees all the Avens.

But something has happened ! The Training Temple has been teleported to a different dimension, one that is swept with solar winds. More alarmingly, SENS is malfunctioning and generating an abnormal amount of system errors. The Temple has become extremely dangerous and some of Incarna’s explorers almost lost their lives during training.

Incarna now needs to send in a specialist - you - to find out whether these errors are due to the solar winds or to some other as yet undetected threat. Your mission is to identify and eradicate the source of the problem before the danger spreads throughout Incarna’s entire system.

'INCARNA: R•AI•D' is a sci-fi style adventure game with lots of puzzles and plenty of hidden things to find. You get about via way-point platforms, but you can walk about freely on each of those platforms but you teleport between them. While the graphics are low-poly they have a clean look to them with some great animation giving it an alien world style with lights and crystals everywhere making the game feel quite magical. There is a little bit of everything to do in this game from bow and arrow shooting, to really complex puzzles that don't give you a single clue about how to finish them which will eat up the gaming hours. I think £16.99 is a great price and most people will get their money's worth in gameplay hours here provided you are willing to try and find every hidden cube. I for one love it and its easy for me to recommend it to others.

A good 2 hours of gameplay, very simple controls and a neat story. Throughout the game it never became clear if the events play out in "reality" or in a simulation. Not that it matters. The movement system might feel limiting, but it fits well with the combat. At some point I assumed that the game is much longer and I still hope that there will be additional content later. Also there is a balanced mix of puzzles and aiming skill challenges. I recommend this game for the casual player with a fable for bow and arrow games.

This is great fun. I'm really glad I ignored the poor marketing and gave this a go. I really enjoyed this.

Played on Oculus Rift CV1. Finished in ~2.5 hrs (and thought I was going a bit slow). Found most of the cubes, but only 4/14 achievements. It's just OK. Pros: + Decent graphics with a reasonably artistic atmosphere. + Puzzles and combat weren't too aggravating, but also weren't quite trivial. Cons: - Despite the small"platform" style locations, I found half the time the interactive elements just beyond my playarea. - No turn options (90 degree snap would have been great). - I wouldn't really call it a it "story", just a some vague statements about an out of control AI. - Wasn't really an adventure or explore game, and only a few small puzzles. - Combat felt mostly tacked on.
