So far I've played a fair number of matches, and can tell enough that it justifies its price and then some. The core premise is easy to pick up, and I was able to understand what was happening less than a minute into the first match. You pick up scraps, and bring them to your side of the field to activate robots that travel across a lane. The bots then have to fight their way through the other team's bots and reach the other end of the lane to damage your opponent. At a glance, it may seem pretty straightforward. Pick up scrap resources and items, then lay out which lanes to focus on. But the game quickly moves into unpredictability, which forces the player to stay engaged while making it difficult to completely control the battle. There may be a lot of scrambling just to keep up. Having only played against the AI, it's hard to judge how much *more* chaotic a multiplayer match would be, but it's a compelling experience. Strategies exist for how & when to collect/use your resources, a...

Fantastic music and art, and easy to play. Only got a chance so far to play vs. AI, but I'm excited to play with more friends.

Great fun game, easy to pick up and rounds quickly become frantic and fast paced races to get a tactical edge over your opponent. The AI is clever and feels more or less like a real player, I've yet to play this game against another person but its a great couch multiplayer game in a sea of online-online multiplayer. Will definitely break it out at parties. Highly recommended.

Only played a few matches but the game feels great. The classic 8-bit art style is joyful and keeps the game from taking itself too seriously. Really looking forward to the network multiplayer coming soon to play with some friends. Easily worth every penny on sale.

Looking for something fun, new, and interesting? Stop what you're doing and pick up 'Scrapshoot,' this awesome, newly-released indie game from Pyrebug Studios! It's a competitive multiplayer 'Plants vs. Zombies'-like experience that has you adopt the role of post-apocalyptic robots programmed to engage in junkyard-based fisticuffs. 🤖 I was fortunate enough to try multiple development builds and can confirm that the final product is fast-paced, engaging, has great flow, and looks wonderful. Even better, there are *dozens* of different hats to unlock for your robot avatars! DOZENS. OF. HATS. Multiple people can play using the same device *or* online via Remote Play Together. If you're looking for solo play, it comes equipped with a challenging AI that can help you refine your skills. If you love old school 'couch competition,' do yourself a favor and nab 'Scrapshoot' ASAP! You'll be so glad you did. ^_^

It's a party game, pretty much sums it up! It's a pretty unique game and I could definitely see people trying to master how to play the game best. Pretty cheap and I could see people getting a good amount of use out of this game. I'll keep it stashed for when a few friends come over to play :)
