I thoroughly enjoyed playing Bloat
Loading up Bloat for the first time, I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew Bloat was a puzzle game, and featured a squishy and endearing creature, but that was it. The developers claim that the game is relaxing. I put that to the test. The game introduces the player to the control scheme. The initial controls shown to me were the cursor/arrow keys, as well as using the mouse to perform interaction and jumping. For those used to using the good old W,A,S,D keys, you're in luck! They worked out of the gate, with the "F" key handling interactions, and spacebar doing the old jump duty. using the W,A,S,D keys, spacebar for jumping, and the left mouse button for interaction was most comfortable for me. Tutorials and controls out of the way, it was time to start playing. I entered the first reliquary, and started my first puzzle stage. It was relatively simple, and the movement and mechanics were fluid. I solved the puzzle, and moved to the next ...

Loved it! Good puzzles, but not too hard. So it's one of those rare games that can give you a challenge, but you can actually beat it! I love short games that don't waste my time, and don't have bugs. This is why I love indie games. Also amazing soundtrack. Spotify when??

I usually play puzzle games to relax after work. This game is amazing. It's both really calming and aesthetic in every way. The music and scenery is really original and both perfectly complement each other. The tutorials are easy to follow and intuitive, so both children and adults can play and enjoy. I find gameplay is a great experience overall and so far (I have yet to finish it) the difficulty is a perfect ramp up for where you are in the game. Showing mechanics as you progress in a slow and understanding fashion. Over all I greatly suggest giving it a try as the game will suit almost any person who enjoys an aesthetic puzzle game.

Whatever Bloats your boat, give this game a try if your curious about it. I'm glad its not a horror game beneath the surface.
