About This Game

I’m not sure about this one, I shouldn’t really be selling it.

A customer brought it in this morning and, apparently, it’s not working correctly. He said it didn’t make much sense to him, but I don’t know what his expectations were. You know what this kind of trip can be like for some people.

Anyway, it’s supposed to be varied, a few locations, a nice hotel and not too crowded. I think there’s even some wildlife. I should return it to the company, but if you’re just looking to get away for a bit, I can give you a good discount. That would save me the effort of sending it in. Obviously, there are no guarantees as I haven’t tested it myself.

So, you’d be on your own with it. You’re ok with that right?

Defective Holiday is single player, first person, lightly interactive will take under an hour to complete. As you play, you’re pulled between different scenes – a beach, departure lounge, restaurant, taxi and more - present in each location for only a fleeting moment before being moved on to the next.

Big fan of Kim Laughton's stuff and Mechatok, I can not stop thinking about this world. Its nice to walk inside Kim's work and experience the details and style up close. You'll quickly fall in love with Mechatok's music as it connects you to this world. Look forward to more from all involved.

This is essentially a 3D Modeller's portfolio piece... the models are detailed and gorgeously rendered, with some genuinely interesting graphical effects and scene transitions. There is a story in the vaguest sense and some scenes veer towards thought provoking, but by and large, I found very little substance here. Apologies, I can't in good conscience recommend this as a game... there is zero interactivity, beyond moving and looking around with the mouse. Each scene passes, some where you can walk around in them, some where you are stationary and can only look about you, and some that are essentially animated wallpapers. If you enjoy walking through largely static scenes, that's all there is to it... as I entered one scene, I briefly stopped playing without pausing, and as I turned back to the game, the scene transitioned to the next... it seems it doesn't even need you to move or look around and is merely on a timer before the next one loads. Some very nice things to look at, it ...

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE! This was totally wonderful, the graphics, the morphing of graphics as you advance , the mysterious story, this was really wild and engaging...the best walking simulator with in a game as well . Not the longest experience but a damn good one! Youtube Full Game Play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYtVZbpKbA8

I downvote this game because they made it F2P although i paid real money for this game. Why sell a game and make it F2P, your just ripping off honest people. Other then that nice graphics and tech demo.. If you see i dont have a key for a game it means i paid for it. :-(

Perfect game. Incredibly moving, mixed with elements of suspense, elegy, and delight. A+

I love Kim Laughton's music artwork and this gave me a chance to feel like I was living within it for just a little bit. Really nicely put together.
