About This Game

Hardcore old-school first person arena shooter, created by single person. Welcome back to 1999: no regenerating health, no screen hints, no radars, no assisted navigation. All you need is to escape the scarecrows, shoot them and avoid the impact of your own rockets.

Features:

 • "Quick Death" game mode: first person shooter chess. Ammo is limited, so you have to avoid enemies, waiting for a chance to blast at least two of them with single shot.
 • "Barn Massacre" game mode: you are locked in a small barn with hundreds of nasty faceless scarecrows. Enjoy the music of falling enemies and the rain of their guts.
 • "Gas Tower Defence" game mode: protect your sniping spot. With rifles. Given to you by Mother Mary. After your diligent prayers.

 • Hardcore gameplay. Hardcore mean really hardcore, like console games back in 90s.
 • Atmospheric retro setting of desolated East-European countryside.
 • Hordes of enemies: deadly ones, ugly ones, and almost invincible ones.
 • Scarecrow decomposition system.
 • Global leader tables.
 • Heavily optimised executable.
 • The only game where you can bless yourself with the sign of the cross.

Absolutely atrocious "throwback shooter" that feels more like a crappy bargain bin title from the early 2000's that would've been made by some no name Eastern European developer you've never heard of. Here's a small list of why this sucks:

You have a health bar but still die in a single hit from every enemy.
Sprinting system but no stamina bar. So you guess how much stamina you've got left?
Enemies make no noise, constantly sneaking up on you out of nowhere.
"Hardcore difficulty" only through bad design.
Why is your character wearing a black suit and gloves like he's in Payday 2?
Go play DUSK instead.

It's a fun concept but not ready just yet.The scarecrows are way too fast to do anything.I can't even get past 25 seconds and I paid 5$ for this. The reloads are too slow and the enemies are too fast.Great idea needs more work. This is my amazing gameplay for this https://youtu.be/uB6tKHYB35Y
Night of the Scarecrows
I recognize i'm biased - i love scarecrows/cornfields thematic in movies&games - this is a fun basic FPS game ( like the map design / enemies / atmosphere ) with only 1 mode/map active - Quick Death - Leaderboard present ( be prepared for a lot of 30 seconds runs ) - good optimisation - for 3,99€ i approve this product and wait for the other 2 modes from the game EA description ;-D ! *** update v.0.991 released that adds some settings ( including mouse sensitivity and a quick tutorial ) !

Leaving a bad review for this game? Pshhhhhh...This is literally a knock out of the park. It's nostalgic and it's my first time playing it, it's packing a serious punch in a really good way. It's very tough to stay a live for a long time but that's where the art of the game comes to play..you get to defeat hordes of zombies and some big bosses in the mix, you need to be fast, on your toes and be smart..there is tactic to madness, there is strategy when holding off the enemy. Love this game, totally worth the five , big ups!

After having spent a fair bit of time playing this game and adjusting to its quirks, I can say that this title is worth purchase at its asking price! It is exactly what it is advertised to be; an "old-school" and "hardcore" shooter where you survive oncoming waves of scarecrows that are actually a fair bit creepy. • While some elements of the game can indeed be considered "old school," it has some design quirks that not all people may appreciate but I think it is apart of the charm. These elements include a stamina indication that doubles as your crosshair, enemies that are almost entirely silent, and a percentage based health display that is nearly entirely useless due to enemies that one hit you. This display, however, is good for monitoring the damage you've sustained from enemies that spit some sort of bile at you which drains your health while making your movement all wonky. It can also be useful for keeping you wary of your self-damage that you may inflict on yourself if carel...

This game feels like the good old bare-bone days of COD Zombies. However, this game is much harder but makes it more fun to play, It gives a sense of trail and error to perfect a run. I would definitely recommend this game as it comes really cheap and fun, I can't wait to see how this game is gradually updated.

Night of The Scarecrows is a quirky survival FPS in which the goal is to survive as long as possible while spooky scarecrows spawn continuously from various spots on the map. All scarecrows kill with one hit, some are faster than others, and there are three special types: spitters are slow but project poison onto you which dramatically slows you and disturbs movement for a short duration; flamers deal some explosive damage and cannot be killed with the shovel; stompers move at a snail's pace but take a tremendous amount of damage. The player can sprint for a limited time, but moves slowly once stamina has depleted and until it replenishes, so this is best reserved for quick getaways. Your speed also declines when your health is low. As of now there are three modes. "Quick Death" involves killing groups of enemies with one shot, rewarding you with ammo for every two kills. The flare gun's splash damage hurts the player and is lethal within melee range. The shovel is used for clos...

Unplayable: Very fast foes constantly teleport in, ganging on you from every direction, even illogic ones. 1 touch death, no defense, no matter how much health you have. Even if you manage to survive a couple minutes or so, then a seemingly invulnerable boss appears and you die anyway. A pity as this could have been fun with a little restraint and thought on the part of the devs. Refunding.
