A pleasant solo or co-op time. Harpoon and reel mechanics are gratifying. Sound effects are rich, soundtrack is catchy and fitting of the aesthetic. At the time of launch. 100% the game's achievement list is swift and fun to discover (Which could make for a speedrun challenge). The animations and circumstances these vehicles go through to be destroyed are delightfully hilarious. Could make for an all-ages impromptu, local/remote experience within a competitive environment or as an ice breaker.

3/5 because of the fun game play. However subtracting 2 stars because of missing basic functionality as of 08/13/25 Key improvements needed: 1. More intuitive key bindings are needed, such as adding reel in to the left trigger and adding the return to Main Menu to a common single button like menu button or "Space, end of the round, rather than a button group. 2. The Menu selection needs to change the navigation method so it feels easier to change the number of lives and settings of menus with the controller to navigate through their options. 3. The lack of a snappy response is somewhat immersion-breaking and leads to frustration when steering stops working. There seems to be a bit of lag when changing direction in the car, but if fixed, it could drastically increase the feeling of the game. 4. The game seems to use more GPU power than is needed for a game of t...
