About This Game

You can’t let out a breath. The creature is only inches away. Its sole purpose - to feed off your terror. And so you crouch in the dark, trying to stop the fear rising, trying to silence what lies within you.

“I know you. I know what you're capable of.”

In Amnesia: Rebirth, you are Tasi Trianon, waking up deep in the desert of Algeria. Days have passed. Where have you been? What did you do? Where are the others? Retrace your journey, pull together the fragments of your shattered past; it is your only chance to survive the pitiless horror that threatens to devour you.

“Do not allow yourself anger, do not allow yourself to fear.”

Time is against you. Step into Tasi’s shoes and guide her through her personal terror and pain. While you struggle to make your way through a desolate landscape, you must also struggle with your own hopes, fears, and bitter regrets. And still you must continue, step by step, knowing that if you fail you will lose everything.

 • First-person narrative horror experience
 • Explore environments and uncover their histories.
 • Overcome puzzles that stand in your way.
 • Carefully manage your limited resources, both physical and mental.
 • Encounter horrific creatures and use your wits and understanding of the world to escape them.

Also available in Adventure Mode for those who want the story and adventure without the horror.

⚖️ Pros Deep, emotional story with strong voice acting Excellent atmosphere and world design Smart pacing, builds tension gradually Beautiful (and terrifying) environments ❌ Cons Less freedom and interactivity than The Dark Descent Occasional pacing dips if you're not into walking-sim elements Some enemy encounters feel more like narrative triggers than true threats If you're looking for a loud, constant-adrenaline horror game, this isn't that. But if you want something unsettling, mature, and emotionally heavy, Amnesia: Rebirth is a journey worth taking. Bring headphones, turn off the lights, and maybe… keep a blanket nearby.

I'm rather mixed on this game. I liked it, found some pleasure in the puzzles, and found a few twists in the story line, BUT the baby became rather obnoxious and stopping to check on the baby was awfully distracting (though it would be in reality right?). The game felt like it was missing something though and I don't know what that is but its definitely something. I like that there are multiple endings and different gameplay options but that something really is nagging at me still.

The first sequence of the first monster reveal is goat after that. downhill! such a slog to play through you just roll your eyes at how cheesy and low effort this was.. i wish we got a full fledged release of the bunker! now that was a great game compared to this slog fest.

This was a great game! I can understand some of the negative feedback on this one, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that I enjoyed it! It feels like Diet Amnesia to me compared to others in the series, but overall was a really cool game. They put a strong emphasis on providing an interesting story! The horror aspects are there, but not as frequent of a sense of vulnerability as the other games. The Puzzles and monsters are easy enough in my opinion to get past for players of all skill levels. I was slightly disappointed it didn't have more horror parts, but the ones that happened were pretty well done! This deserves better credit than some are giving! 8/10!

Mild Spoilers The only thing I liked about this game was the desert fort area, it felt real and was an interesting place to explore and just be in. It had great atmosphere and background music. The puzzles there reminded me of the Dark Descent puzzles, where you are trying to navigate an abandoned area using the environment and things you find laying around. The only other thing worth mentioning is that I didn't like how the alien world took so much of the spotlight in this game. What started as a mysterious piece of backstory for Alexander in the Dark Descent ended up a familiar and worn-out location when it was never supposed to be. A couple of the areas there looked amazing in their own right, but for the most part it was very uninspired and repetitive. The voice-acted (why?) memory capsules and auto-translate journal tablets didn't help the situation either, they just served to familiarize you with more poorly written details about the characters and backstory which were...
