Impulsow is a neat game that I can't put in a definite genre. It resembles platformers though.
In Impulsow you are this weird blob that moves by shooting pebbles out of its orifice, kind of like a spacecraft. Goal is to get to the finish without dying. You can also collect a coin along the way. Blob (or rather the direction it shoots pebbles) is controlled with mouse. There are no other control scheme options. Game is separated in sectors, which are sets of levels to be completed in succession. Afterwards, you get ranked according to how few times you died in the sector. Sectors gradually introduce new hazards. There's a good selection of them, many familiar from platformers: spikes, fans, gravity alteration, lasers (both moving and appearing/disappearing kinds), homing missiles, and guns (both fixed and targeting), among other things. Difficulty is about right for the small stages, and with the increasing complexity the levels are not too repetitive.
No...

I finished the game in less than half an hour, which is a bit too short I think even at a discounted price of Euro 2,39. But I enjoyed myself while playing it so I give it a thumbs up. I didn't score maximum points on all stages obviously, so I can go back into the game one more time to improve on my first score, but I think in its current state the game does not (yet) have very good replayability value. The game has been released only a couple of days ago and it feels like it is still not fully out of beta yet (I even spotted a typo in the menu). There are 10 stages of 5 screens each, so just 50 challenges to overcome. Most of them you can manage on your first try, some take a bit of getting used to how hard the fans blow or what trajectory the bullets and rockets follow. I expect that the developer(s) will continue to tweak the gamepeak a bit and hopefully add some more levels. I especially hope they will add some longer levels, with actual puzzles to solve. What I also miss a bit ...
A simple and quite fun game Using a kind of propellant, to move through the stages, collecting items and overcoming challenges, we may not even notice the time passing. The sound of the effects is much louder than the music, it should be just a little louder, thus balancing the overall sounds of the game well. I didn't see any bugs during the game, what bothered me a bit were the colliders, which in some objects, seemed to be large, also the lack of sounds of some actions such as collecting items and finishing the level. The game manages to fulfill the objective of being a short and fun game, highly recommended by the price. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Um jogo simples e bastante divertido Usando um tipo de propulsor, para percorrer as etapas, coletando itens e superando desafios, podemos nem perceber o tempo passando. I can recommend this game since it costs almost nothing. I saw free games last longer, but the fun I got was worth the 1$. It's a very short game, but intense. Here's the deal: you are given the least manoeuvrable module ever – it is propelled by firing little balls which don't damage anything – in a small level and you must reach the exit. Did I forget to mention the sadistic traps and wicked weapons shooting at you? All of these are a perfect combination to get on your nerves, without which you won't succeed. The game is not that hard. If you want more challenge, you can try to get the achievements, which are obtained by taking the bonus in each level, and pass each sector without dying once. But it still took me less than 90 minutes to beat the game completely. It's too short. It needs more levels and challenges, for instance time-based ones. I'll just point out that it needs to be a little more polished. The level selection screen could have been nicer. No need to give you a...
The game has pretty simple mechanics, and has lots of fun. The price is fair, for the game is quite short, but demads a lot of mental endeavor. The graphics are just silhoeuttes, like other "Use Your Head" games, but fits nicely because of the thrilling taste it gives to the game! Recommended!
Very nice game. It flows smoothly and the levels are all very enjoyable. The price is very fair too.
not bad
