I'm marking it as not recommended, but only if you are looking for a good mapping tool. This is an boring bare-bones, entry level hex mapping tool. There is no option to import new tile assets, and it only exports maps as JPGs.

Good software, could use some improvement. It wouldn't hurt if there were more desert/tundra city textures, or a road made for desert, as the current one is far too close to the color of desert. You can use the "snow" road option, but then you have a teal blue on the sand. Also, if you accidentally hit "new map" while working on a map, you're gonna have a bad time, as there is no confirmation box. I do enjoy this, but it has room for improvement. Worth the price.
Cheap and easy to use was able to make a world map in under 2 hours. Only real issues I have with in its current state are: Needs more options for labels (Size and colour) Not enough variation in tiles.
It's a mapmaker that doesn't allow you to select the size of the map other then a number of presets. EG. 15, 21, 23, hexes wide and you'd select some other number for height. However you can't select any numbers other then those presets. For example because the game doesn't have the preset number 16 you can't print it out on an A2 (23,16) piece of paper assuming you want the hexes to be 1 inch wide. In addition the preset numbers don't account for an A3 (16,11) or an A4 (11,8) sized map. This means that when you'd print the map there would be stretching. There's no way to change the controls. This would be fine if the WSAD on the map wasn't inverted or you could move the map by clicking and dragging (while holding the space bar for example like in Dungeondraft) but you can't or even if you could use the arrow keys. You can't change the colour for the road drawing tool. It's Cardboard brown like it or not, this means that you can't draw a river onto the map. You can't increase the thick...
The game is poorly designed and basically still in a beta state. The controls are reversed which was jarring to me the moment I even tried playing. And when looking around for a settings button to change this there was no settings at all. Then there is a lack of being able to upload my own images for custom tiles. Then there was a lack of just tile selection as a whole, extremely bare bones there. This game despite being $3 should be completely free, I've seen 3D 10 minute games put more effort into their game then this program. And not to mention there is an extreme lack of updates to keep the tool up to modern standards. It honestly should be put into a pre-release state instead of it being listed as a "full" and "finished" product.
This is a decent little program that can be used to make maps for all sorts of purposes.
