I'm on the fence on this one. On the one hand it's a basic, slightly challenging platformer that's cheap, but on the other hand it's buggy and the controls are bad. I'm going with a thumbs down specifcally for the controls and the bugs: There's no controller support. You can also not reassign existing controls. You cannot jump/fall/run and attack at the same time; you have to stand still for half a second before you can start whipping. But sometimes you don't whip, even though you hear the sound effects of the whip, usually resulting in your death. Having to stand still for a while before you can attack removes the flow from the game, making it less enjoyable. I believe the game is fixable, but it needs more love.

I so badly wanted to like this game, but unfortunately issues with input lag and fiddly controls ruined it for me. I am not the best at platformers to begin with, so the lag made this too frustrating for me. That said, I love the idea and the style is so nostalgic and fun! No controller suport, imputs delay, frustrating to restart the whole level when you die and it become not fun sorry.

I enjoyed this game and was able to finish it in one sitting (it's 10 levels). It's a little clunky with delayed whip swings and ruthless spikes that sometimes feel like they extend slightly beyond their sprite, but overall I'd recommend this for anyone who had a fondness for old games / games that play like old games.
