About This Game

Smersh is Russian for "Death to Spies" and was the name of a set of counterintelligence agencies formed in the Soviet Army during World War II. Their mission was to secure the rear of the active Red Army by arresting traitors, deserters, spies and criminal cells. During the war these agents became the main force combating the German intelligence service.
As captain of the 4th department of Smersh, it is your job to execute these operations in the heart of enemy territory. Be prepared to complete various tasks, including stealing important documents, eliminating enemy officers, kidnapping high-ranking officials, and sabotage enemy plans.

Third-person stealth action immerses the player into the atmosphere of World War II military intelligence operations.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME This is probably the worst game I've ever played. They chucked everything out the window with this game. I don't even know if you can call it a game. It's more like frustration simulator. the mechanics are the most broken part of this game. Mainly the movement mechanics and ai. Want to walk in a straight line? Too bad! Stare at that wall, walk with a limp, and stumble around slowly while trying to navigate. Your camera will break. You will look at weird angles which effect the way you move, and there's no way to recenter the camera unless you pickup a body, and that's still temporary. It'll happen again after your next 5 steps. The ai look around erratically. They also look in directions they aren't facing. I've seen like 3 guys in the first mission spinning around and looking in ways that aren't possible. Also, disguising? In a spy game? No, not here. You cannot disguise unless you do the most convoluted system possible. Those are probably the main problem...
