Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
I thought I was getting a good deal for this escape room for only .99 cents. Little did I know I would complete this "game" in about 10 minutes. That's including doing the tutorial. There's only 2 "rooms" and they both look very vanilla and forgettable. Only one room has what you would consider a puzzle, the other room just has a find an item and put it in the right place puzzle. Game ends abruptly after this. The controls are horrible. Although the game says you can walk, I found I could only teleport. There is no smooth or snap turning. You basically put your avatar hands near objects and grab them. The object may or may not be useful. Game is running on the Unity Engine. Game ran terribly on my RTX 3080 with variable frame rates and loading screens. Visuals & sounds look like they came from the Unity Asset store. There were only a few objects to interact with so figuring out to randomly hit a solid steel wall with a huge hammer was alm...

The current state of the game on release is barely enough to be considered a game. The video looks like it'd provide a few moments of content and suspense but the non-difficulty of the game and the extensiveness of the unneeded tutorial makes it difficult to enjoy. There are 2 rooms and one has virtually no puzzle. The game runs extremely poorly and SteamVR has trouble adding enough motion smoothing to make up for it. Waving your hands around in the one room with a puzzle can be almost sickening and the repeating sound FX and ambience ruins any immersion. $10 is too much for this game even if it ran smoothly. It does not compare to a real-life escape room or even a flash game of the same category. Even on sale I would avoid this title until the frame rate issues are fixed AND more content is added
I spent more time wrestling with this than enjoying it. 1) No locomotion 2) Very short for the price. 3) Performance was terrible on my 3090 10900k system with a G2. Even after I dropped the res to 20%!
super duper laggy and way too short for its price. grabbing is janky too
Beatable in <1 minute once you know the solution. You can soft-lock yourself in both rooms; in the first, by putting a necessary item on top of the bed before lifting it up. In the second, by throwing the battery you need into the ocean. This game apparently has 4 achievements. Since they aren't for: Winning The Game, Losing The Game, Losing the Game In The Second Room, Winning In Under a Minute, Watching the Tutorial, Skipping the Tutorial, Exploring the Tutorial Room, Exploring the Win/Lose Screens, Throwing the Battery Out The Window, Interacting With Every Item In The Game, nor Almost Crashing The Game By Putting One Object On Another Object, I have no idea what they could be for. (AKA, it didn't award the achievements when it should). I would say that this is a good escape room experience for little kids, but the camera shaking when there's an "earthquake" and triggering a blaring alarm you have to manually turn off definitely makes it not so. Also, each time the "earthquake" ...
