I actually enjoyed this. Definitely has a strong boardgame feel with dice and random cards. Won the first scenario on normal without any difficulty, but I imagine it could be more difficult if the aliens were luckier with their card draws. In spite of the fact it has only two scenarios I'd expect them to play differently each time, although the novelty will probably wear off fairly quickly. Hopefully the harder mode will actually be harder. My first game was quite relaxing to play though. Easy enough to learn the rules and enough options to give you something to think about. Worth it when it's on sale and if you enjoy boardgames, cards and dice rolling.

About This Game

Invaders From Dimension X! is a solitaire game depicting battles between the crack 124th Galactic Marine Raider Battalion (nicknamed “The Old Reprobates”) of the Unified Space Alliance Defense Force and the invading “pods” of a mysterious alien race, commonly known as the Kay’otz.
The Kay'otz come from another dimension of space and do not behave in a way humans can comprehend. Only with perseverance and skillful strategy - and yes, some good fortune - will you be able to eventually discover the plans and tactics of these mysterious beings.
Adapted from the Board Game designed by Hermann Luttmann and published by Tiny Battle Publishing . Tiny Battle Publishing is the brainchild of Mark H. Walker focusing on small footprint games (usually 88 counters, 1-2 game maps, 8-16 pages of rules). Working with talented designers, new and established, such as Hermann Luttmann, Brian Train, Gottardo Zancani, and Mark himself, Tiny Battle releases affordable games on a wide variety of subjects: historical, sci-fi, you name it.

- A one player tactical strategy game
- Two Battle scenarios and one Campaign scenario
- Play as the Marines against the Kay'otz
- Marine units have different weapons and roles
- Two Maps
- No two games the same

Simple, but surprisingly fun board game. Lots of random results. Graphics could be better, but serviceable. Needs a skirmish mode or a way to generate random scenarios, as there are only several pre-made scenarios to choose from. Other features I'd like to see: map board zoom in/out and co-op multiplayer mode
Do not buy this. Could probably be very fun except it crashes multiple times a turn.
Not sure on this one, basically played the first mission and trying to move to the other side of the map, but instead get surrounded by enemies who constantly stun your units, so you just sit there trying to roll 6's for every unit so you can actually do something else the next turn, only to have them stunned again on the enemy turn, repeat until you lose. Every couple of turns one of your unit would get to try and attack but not succeed. I might try another mission and see if its any different, but this sort of thing leaves me not wanting to do so.
Always like to support small Indie Game houses. I know there are more games coming from Yobowargames this year. Quick and easy to play but lots of "Rallying " to deal with. Fun game great graphics on counters!
I had a lot of fun with this, the 2 scenarios included are great but BIG DOWN side is the campaign was broken for me. Something to be aware of for buyers, the 1st mission doesn't let you summon reinforcements. Hopefully that gets fixed. Still enjoyed overall thought.....
This game is real one! I can play forever alone!
I love the board game, and this PC version plays so much quicker. My only criticism is that the playing area should be adjustable, so that it is easier to see where all the Kayotz are without having to pan around.
