The Darkest Woods 2

Great little game. I give an 8/10 only because there are quite a few typos around the whole story line, but I understand this was probably made by Russian speaking devs so its forgiveable. The atmostphere is well put together provides a genuine scary experience, the game is not too jump scare-y. You usually get a warning or understand due to sound cues that something is going to happen if you don't act quickly. The low res photo backgrounds are charming and coincide with the atmosphere well. Gameplay is (in my opinion) just right in terms of difficulty for this genre. You're not scratching your head for 20 minutes and given stupidly vague tasks to complete to pad the gameplay out, it's straightforward enough to enjoy, and challenging enough to make you feel like you've accomplished a real task. Just simply awful. Seems like most Steam games are utter garbage, but this piece of trash is the worst. 0 stars.

Direct continuation of the first episode, It's a simple point-and-click adventure game with jump scares, but with a better graphics compared to the first episode. If you like adventure game and don't mind some jump scares and a little bit of gore, this is for you.

Excellent game, short & immervise

The Darkest Woods 2 is a much like its predecessor but a little bit longer and has a little more story though I think the localization could be touched more on since I spotted a lot of grammatical errors. Its still a nice game to kinda get a little spooked at if you can find it for cheap.

Short point & click with good atmosphere and few effective jump scares. On sale it's fine.
