Amazing survival game with a great take on the shrunk down setting. Really gave me that itch for exploration my first time around while it was still in early access. Game has lots of nice QoL features, with crafting from nearby storage probably being the best.

This game is the perfect family RPG game. Grab a kid jump into back yard and enjoy the adventures of the backyard. Game play is great, story line is great, graphics and combat are enthralling!
Survival games usually don't grab me, but this one has been surprisingly fun. While managing item durability and hunger is still a bit of a chore, the exploration aspect is fantastic, with tons of secrets to uncover. Even after about 45 hours, we're still discovering new things as we work through the tier 3 content. I really appreciate the arachnophobia mode -- not that I'm scared of spiders, but it's great for playing with kids around. My only wish is that the mode applied to more of the scary-looking insects in the game. My main complaint is regarding the base attacks. They don't seem to scale with the number of players, and with just two of us, we were completely overwhelmed every time. We've managed the rest of the game just fine as a duo, but these attacks feel unbalanced. We also ran into some frequent, though minor, multiplayer desync issues, like items appearing in different spots for the client and server, which made them impossible to pick up. Despite these few probl...
It's a great game. The ability to change the settings allows people to have fun in the game without the challenge. The only issue I really have with it is keeping track of your team. So many times, I'll look away for a second and can't find my friends. Perhaps some compass system that indicates allies would help.
As someone who highly dislikes survival and building games (unless it's LEGO) this game took me by SURPRISE. Seeing the sequel come out on Early Access I decided to give the 1st one a go as it's been sitting in my library for well over a year. Inspired by one of my favourite movies growing up as a kid, "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids." Grounded is an absolute joy to play. From scary spiders to acidic termites and gassy stinkbugs this game has so much going for it, it's unreal! (ayeee) The playable characters each have their own personality and the hidden lore scattered across the backyard helps build the world tenfold. Obsidian really nailed the start of a new IP. In all my years of gaming, I don't think I've EVER seen a game with THIS much content. I've beaten the story and most of the big bosses in my 30 hour playthrough but this game just keeps on giving. It's got extra content all the way up to NEW GAME+ 4! You could EASILY spend 1000 hours in this game and still have stuff t...
For a survival crafting game it's really solid; well-designed world, basebuilding, story, progression and replayability (such as Newgame+). Plenty of fun to be had regardless whether you play solo or with friends as it scales with every player up to 4 and there's room for different playstyles and synergies which is great. Also a good balance of farming and QoL features in it's genre, the storage chest management inside the base is one of the better systems I've encountered. For it's pretty visuals, the performance is rather decent for today's subpar industry standard with optimization. Somehow i hate mosquitoes even more after playing this game, which i didn't think was even possible 10/10
Play online with friends and make sure to always recycle the zipline they are on. Have Fun!
Fantastic game. Favorite survival game for me and I've played quite a bit. In a weird way this reminds me of a Dark Souls type game, which sounds odd I know, but in the way souls games have unique fun weapons or gear to find when you explore, this game has that. But you can also craft so many weapons and armor. You can also upgrade weapons and armor and change them with upgrades. Armor sets have set bonuses. There are big bosses to fight, again reminding me of dark souls. Its not as hard as a souls game. It just scratches a similar itch where I am hunting weapons and materials to craft better gear and fight bigger bosses and find trinkets to enhance my build. Builds! That's the other awesome thing is choosing perks, weapons, armor sets, trinkets that all work together and make you stronger in unique ways. Base building is very fun and satisfying. Tons of options. Lots of enemy variety. The story is fleshed out and decently long. And its co-op. Its really such a great game. If you enjoy...
Playing with others is a must for the ultimate experience on this game.
