HOW FAR WILL YOU GO TO SAVE SOMEONE YOU LOVE?

Experience a gripping psychological thriller filled with innumerable twists and turns. Spanning four days of mystery and suspense, the hunt is on for a murderer known only as the Origami Killer - named after his macabre calling card of leaving behind folded paper shapes at crime scenes. Four characters, each following their own leads and with their own motives, must take part in a desperate attempt to prevent the killer from claiming a new victim.

You need to think fast and act even faster, as every choice and move you make can result in dramatic, game-changing consequences – and even determine who lives… and who dies.

How this story ends is entirely up to you.

FOUR CHARACTERS, FOUR PERSPECTIVES

The award-winning storyline puts you in control of four distinct characters who are each following their own leads in a desperate search for a missing person.

ACCESSIBLE AND INTUITIVE CONTROLS

Not limited by gaming conventions, the uncomplicated HUD keeps you deeply immersed in the storytelling and features controls for both gamepad and keyboard/mouse players.

FULLY OPTIMIZED FOR PC

The classic title is brought to PC with stunning visuals including 4K resolution and 60 fps framerate.

A bit clunky gameplay-wise — yeah, it shows its age. Some camera angles feel awkward and dated. But the story? It delivered. Full of tension, twists, and raw emotion. Sure, there are a few plot holes here and there, but it still hits hard. Felt like being inside a dark, gripping thriller where every choice mattered. If you're into cinematic experiences and don't mind slower-paced storytelling — Heavy Rain is absolutely worth it. A flawed gem, but a memorable one. I definitely recommend it.

love this game except for the only portrayals or inclusions of women being majorly sexualised, having nothing essentially to do with the plot, and merely there to serve the male character's agenda or character development. do better.

This game probably had two writers. One was a (below)average writer with some good ideas here or there. The other was an incompetent moron who seemed to use a closed-alpha version of his Alexa speakers to write the story for him. The story is full of inconsistencies. It constantly shifts the narrative just to push its own agenda about who you should suspect, rather than letting the mystery unfold naturally. You are playing as a character, making decisions, and see events through their eyes. But then the game is like “Nope, that’s not what happened.” That’s not how you write a story, David! Maybe next time, between touching your coworkers and photoshopping their faces onto nude images, you could spare a moment to actually learn how storytelling works. It has banger scenes like pressing X to Jason, which was brilliant. But between those highlights, you spend half the game doing chores: washing your a$s in the shower, changing some random kid’s diaper, and ...

I've played Heavy Rain because it is listed as one of the 'greatest games of all time'. It's a lie. It's peak mediocrity. A 'game' whose only gameplay mechanic revolves around boring QTEs cannot be considered as a contender for the 'greatest games of all time'. It's not a game if you're not even using the tools the medium has to give your audience a meaningful and immersive experience. It's just a movie with extra steps. The story and overall atmosphere are compelling at first sight, up until the end, where you notice that it's full of plot holes, cheap plot twists, and incoherent/unfinished writing. It's just hot garbage with a poor excuse of a story.

This game set a milestone in the interactive drama genre when it was released. It's a movie with the story leading up to the decisions you make, slight error by you can cause the story to shift it's track, even today 15 years later it's atmosphere feels incredibly immersive beating many modern games. Give it a shot if you can bare a well written dark thriller story with bunch of emotional scenes.

I love this game I do but I regret buying it on steam for one reason and one reason only and that is because the controls with controller are absolutely awful. I had to alternate between my controller and my mouse and keyboard to do the turning actions and it was absolutely obnoxious. Neither my PS5 controller or my XBOX controller were able to be used on this action. I hope this is seen by the developers so they can correct the issue.

+ Story-telling at its finest + Excellent characters + Interesting level design with dark atmosphere + Gameplay is quite good for its age + Satisfying endings for the choices you make - Mild replay value. as much as i love the plot twist, it kinda ruins any playthrough after the first. - Best played with controller, yet so many reponse issues occur. (Highly recommend to use first community layout for the controller) Verdict: 9.3 / 10

If it was DBH brought you here, believe me you'll like this. There are flaws, every story has its flaws, but this doesn't deny it's worth. Moreover, it's a new experience. Very unfortunate that there might be no more interactive cinematic games as such, we should hold on to what we still have

This title is one of my favorites — the narrative, plot, character development, and overall story are some of the things that make this game one of the best in my opinion. If you manage to empathize with the main characters, you might even find yourself thinking like them when it comes to making decisions for each one. I first played this game back when it originally came out years ago, but replaying it now to get all the achievements and complete it 100%, I can say for sure that it was, is, and will continue to be a pioneer and a solid pillar for this type of game — and for video games in general. As for the achievements, many of them will unlock naturally just by playing the game. But if you want the full 100%, it’s better to start with a guide from the beginning, because you’ll have to replay certain chapters more than once. If you have patience, it’s no problem — you’ll most likely get them all without much trouble using a guide from start to finish. That sai...
