Dark Dimensions: Homecoming Collector's Edition

VERY fun game. Good story, map , sound, graphics, all top notch. i particularly liked the hog scenes as they were so interactive and like small puzzles of their own..AND were small in amount of things to find or interact with, so it never got boring. I always watch any games, "behind the scenes/ making of" the game (if available) as they are always interesting and fun; really recommend watching daily magic's .. Normally I am not a fan of, "helpers", in a game but the husky, "Rocky" was ADORABLE as they had tiny FMV clips for his activities and his comic, goofy husky face.

The fifth in the series, you have been summoned by your sister to the Barton Mansion… the place where your parents disappeared leaving you as orphans. This time it is personal. Can you solve the mystery of your missing parents? And save yourselves? The minigames are challenging, the HO scenes fun, and the plot engaging.

Great game but you get to a certain point and cannot proceed any further. Hit "Play" button and game falls through to desktop.

I had a great time playing the entire game. The graphics are impressive and the story is very good. Pros: + Map. + Music. + Gameplay.

Although it's a pretty good HOPA game, it does not look, feel and follow the story of the previous two games: Dark Dimensions: The City of Fog and Dark Dimensions: Wax Figures [sic]. Sure, it may be stunning in terms of the effort put into it: Rocky the sidekick dog, coin purchasing doggy treats and house collectibles. However, this game contains may kitchy stuff. The first two games felt real, gloomy and mysterious. If the devs know what I mean. This one is just kitch. You can even tell by the colors of the background scenes. I will give a list of PROS which aims at offering elements that make this game playable for any HOPA game fan and CONS which arms at offering elements that should have appeared since this game is a closing chapter to the Dark Dimensions trilogy. PROS: - Female protagonist; - Rocky the sidekick dog; - Fast-travelling map; - Different journal entries; - Not your usual pick the item HO games; - Varied minigames; - Collectibles that remind one of the Dark Romanc...

Good enough game play and puzzles, the HOGs are also small puzzles.

If you like seeing your hard work constantly undermined, this is the game for you! In all seriousness, this game was a ton of fun. The dog is adorable and a fun mechanic to add to the game. The puzzles are interesting, the story is good. I would recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of this genre. However, if you are just getting into hidden object games, this is a bad one to start off with, for two reasons: For one, it's constantly undermining your success. This game has a lot of the typical puzzles and such that you need to solve to unlock certain areas or obtain certain items. However, instead of the solutions being used to, you know, unlock a new area, your efforts are consistently rewarded with... evil vines coming in and wrecking all of your hard work. Like, what was the point of me solving the puzzle, or fixing this contraption, only to have it destroyed the instant I'm done with it? Wouldn't the vines have destroyed it anyways? It's incredibly frustrating, and it happen...
