About This Game

Meet Your New Neighbours

The ground starts shaking, light bulbs are breaking - and something rather unusual is happening right behind the walls of your very room. Equipped with nothing but wit and courage, you slowly descend into a world inhabited by avian folk and seemingly deadly furniture monsters.

From the creators of indie classics Machinarium and Samorost comes Creaks, an immersive puzzle game that delights the senses with its hand-painted visuals, precise animation, eerie sounds, and an eclectic original score from Hidden Orchestra. Proceed at your own pace at figuring out the solutions to dozens of carefully designed puzzles, explore the mansion for hidden paintings and uncover the great secret.

Creaks is best enjoyed with a controller and a good pair of headphones.
🌌 Creaks - A Surreal Puzzle Masterpiece 🧩
This is hands down one of the best puzzle platformers I've played so far. The puzzles are brilliantly designed - some are simple warm-ups, while others will really make you think outside the box. Solving the trickier ones gave me that sweet hit of dopamine every single time. It's so satisfying. 🧠✨

Art & Graphics 🎨 Absolute banger. At first, I was a bit skeptical - the graphics looked spooky, surreal, and almost unsettling when I was about to buy the game. But after a few hours in, I completely fell in love with its unique, hand-painted aesthetic. It's hauntingly beautiful.

Sound & Music 🎧 Top-notch, immersive, and perfectly fitting the atmosphere. Plug in some good headphones, and you're in for a ride.

Story πŸ“– The story adds another layer, pulling you deeper and making you want to see what's waiting around the next corner. Keeps you hoo...

I loved this game! The visuals are great and the puzzles get progressively harder but never so hard you can't figure them out eventually. I love everything this game company puts out.

A really lovely way to spend a weekend. The puzzles gradually increase in complexity and the art style is so unique. Seeing how every room connected at the end was cool! Some of the painting puzzles were a bit tricky to figure out (singing one I am looking at you) but I had a really great time exploring this subterranean world.

Fantastic game, I got a little stuck here and there, but nothing a quick youtube search couldn't help!! Despite there being no real text throughout, I was truly enraptured by the story. Highly recommend if you are looking for a fun puzzle game to play here and there!

First, let’s get the inevitable comparison out of the way: Creaks is in no way a successor to Machinarium. It has a different art style, it’s the brainchild of a different team, and it’s a completely different kind of game. While Machinarium is a point-and-click adventure with a reasonable amount of non-linearity, Creaks is a very linear puzzle platformer played using a keyboard or gamepad. The basic mechanic of manipulating predictable NPC behaviour to advance is reminiscent of TokiΒ ToriΒ 2+ if you’ve played that. The art, as you’d expect from Amanita, is absolutely top notch. The game leads you through a sprawling, beautifully hand drawn and animated environment. You won’t find lazy asset re-use or lifeless 3D models in this game. The soundtrack, provided by Hidden Orchestra, greatly adds to the mood. The way the music changes as you progress through a scene is a particularly nice touch. The controls are simple and easy to learn – just the four directions ...
