Compared to Robocop: Graphics are older/worse. Game play mechanics very similar but not as polished as Robocop. I found the story in both engaging enough to carry the game. Overall Robocop is better but Terminator: Resistance hold's it's own. Terminator fan should give this a go, it's not super polished, good start, falls off a bit in the middle and strong ending. I enjoyed my time with both Robocop and Terminator. Give them a try. I'll be keen to see what Teyon do next.

Fun game, really captures the Terminator aesthetic and feel. A very late 2000s feeling game, nice throwback to a simpler time in gaming (and life in general, really).
Skynet Sent This Game Back in Time… and It Shows
+ The Atmosphere Feels Right Walking through bombed-out streets with synths humming in the background gave me chills. It’s not just a game—it’s a mood. + It Respects the Lore You can tell this was made by people who grew up watching Terminator. The details, the callbacks, the way Skynet looms—it’s all there. + Combat Feels Personal Shooting a T-800 isn’t just gameplay—it’s revenge. You feel the weight of every plasma blast like you’re fighting for something. + Choices That Matter Emotionally Even if the endings don’t branch wildly, the decisions you make feel human. You care about the people around you. + Music That Hits Nostalgia Hard That synth-heavy score? It’s like someone plugged the '80s straight into my veins. - The AI Is... Dumb Sometimes enemies just stand there like they forgot why they exist. It breaks immersion fast. - Dialogue Can Be Painful Some lines made me wince. Emotional scenes...
Loves the original two films and, having seen all the positive feedback I picked this game up for next to nothing. I have to say, I'm disappointed: 1) Combat, the main part of an FPS game is pretty p*** poor. 2) While the story is decent, the poor combat and general game play still gets it a hard thumbs down for me.l
I really like this game. It's a simple FPS game, it isn't complicated at all. Shoot the enemies hard points. You get a new weapon with every new "chapter" with the game. It also gives you the biggest battles AFTER you've maxxed out everything. The atmosphere is EVERYTHING with this game. When you're scared of these terminators marching around, aircraft flying over head, rockets landing nearby that is when the game is at its height. The music is perfect, the look and feel of the sets is really good (don't look too closely!). The enemies feel menacing, they "hunt" you down. But that facade is easily broken, you can really mess with the terminator AI if you want to. By the end of the game I was running sliding around them stabbing them with the terminator knife and hacking turrets. The power levelling is really nice for a relaxing game. I haven't tried the main story on a high difficulty though. The story does have some dilemmas for you and they really made you think. They were hamfis...
Although a decent game, the gun play feels kinda bad because the weapons don't have impact. terminators just go about their business as you unload plasma into them, they don't even flinch. The scopes on the plasma guns is a cool Idea but it should be something you activate your screen just goes red with only silhouettes of terminators, no detail. They actually take away from the awesome models of the terminators because you cant see any detail when scoped. and expect to use the scope 80% of gunfights. Play this for the story not so much the action, they made a mistake not adding weapon impacts, stagger limb removal ect.
Without doubt the best Terminator gaming experience. Yeah this isn't a AAAA+ game, it's just not, but the quality of the story, the immersion, soundtrack and 'weight of the world' bring you in to the game in a really convincing and immersive way. 11/10 from me :)
This is clearly one of my now top games i've played. Much better than i "expected". - Very good game. :) If Movies has been watched before playing this - Well Great!. If not. then also very Great!. this can even be played as Terminator movie number 0. You choose!. --------------------------- """"" Mouse Fixes: """"" Had to lower Hertz on mouse from 8000HZ to 1000HZ - using DPI 700. Reports are that high DPI or Hertz on mice will make the game have Negative Mouse Accceleration, even though Input.ini file has added lines for disabling it: bEnableMouseSmoothing=False bViewAccelerationEnabled=False --- Location >>> %LOCALAPPDATA%\Terminator\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini Those lines as mentioned only worked, when i also configured mouse to use 1000HZ/1ms from 8000HZ/0.125ms If i didn't do that - it would get worse and worse, and i eventuelly had to use the whole table to move the mouse around. :) But now it works great! - Great Game!. Have Fun!. :D Very Good Game.
gun sounds are bad voice acting bad gun play is bad does not look that great stealth is horrible i dont know how people like this, also one of the guns is a m16 with m4 handguards that dont match the time line kinda weird
All the positive review you see is either exaggerated or written by terminator cults. The atmosphere is flat, the characters are flavorless, the gunplay is unsatisfying, and most importantly, it tries to be a stealth game with how powerful the enemies are, but with really terrible stealth mechanics. I feel like if you have no to limited knowledge of the terminator franchise, this game is an easy pass. You WON'T feel anything like the positive reviews say they feel.
